I really love movies and could never narrow it down to favorites. And I really don't get tired of watching them over again. But I know what I really DON'T like - dark, violent, too realistic shoot-em-ups. My husband goes to those movies without me. Ironically I read that type of book quite often, but hate the movies. And I have to agree with you totally on Northern Exposure - and about Jimmy Stewart.

I will not watch dark shoot em up movies. Violence is too disturbing to see, and those movies desensitize people to it

I don't go to the theater much either because the seats hurt my back, too. We're lucky if we manage once a year. First run releases may come out more quickly now, since few can/will go to the cinema.

Enjoyed your answers a lot. The Dumbledore quote is one of my favorites :)

Oh, we could watch movies/TV together any time, I think. With the Wizard of Oz and Dirty Dancing we're good and I love Schitt's Creek. As goofy and stupid as it is, I was so sad when it ended.

Well, this is one thing we don't have in common. I rarely watch movies and I can't remember the last movie I saw in a theater. I've never even watched Titanic because I know how it ends. LOL. My husband, OTOH, is a movie addict and he is currently in withdrawal, not only because he can't watch any of the new movies, but also because he goes to the movie theater in hot weather to cool off. He really was suffering last week. And no, we don't subscribe to Netflix, or Disney+ or any of the other services, just plain vanilla cable. I'd rather read.

Favorite movie quote ever: "we're gonna need a bigger boat." Favorite movie scene ever is in Close Encounters of the Third Kind, when Richard Dreyfus starts building the "sculpture" in his kitchen and he's throwing the bushes in through the kitchen window. Classic!

Oh my-this the best list of questions. I’ll go you one ( or 2) older on favorite actors- June Allison and Van Johnson. I will watch any movie with Kevin Kline , Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts. At one time I had one album left after moving a lot and it’s now stored in my hope chest: Sound of Music. Yes, I know all the songs. Favorite scene- “I’ll have what she’s having “. Last movie in the theater- LA LA LAND. I Saw “Young Frankenstein”. alone in the theater 3 times. And, for years I would all of a sudden sing “ Oh sweet mystery of life at last I found you” from the movie. Hysterical. Loved Northern Exposure! Most new shows I liked “they” dumped them . Great post.

I love your movie duos, too. And I just saw Greyhound on TV.

LeeAnna, last night I was visiting blogs on the iPad and sometimes my comments posted. I'm mentioning this, in case my comment did come through. Dumbledore's quote gives me the shivers. I still have hope that our country, the whole world, has not dropped too far into darkness. Oops, I got too solemn. I loved Nancy Kwan in Flower Drum Song, dancing and singing with that cool ponytail flipping around.

Wow! Can I guess Last Tango in Paris as your guilty pleasure? I haven't thought about that movie for a long time. Most of the movies I watch these days are with my grandsons. We watched The Lorax last night. It brought me to tears!
