Most of the movies I watch these days are with my grandsons. We watched The Lorax last night. I'm mentioning this, in case my comment did come through. Dumbledore's quote gives me the shivers. I still have hope that our country, the whole world, has not dropped too far into darkness. Oops, I got too solemn. I loved Nancy Kwan in Flower Drum Song, dancing and singing with that cool ponytail flipping around. Su-sieee! I will watch any movie with Kevin Kline , Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts. At one time I had one album left after moving a lot and it’s now stored in my hope chest: Sound of Music. Yes, I know all the songs. Favorite scene- “I’ll have what she’s having “. Last movie in the theater- LA LA LAND. I Saw “Young Frankenstein”. alone in the theater 3 times. And, for years I would all of a sudden sing “ Oh sweet mystery of life at last I found you” from the movie. Hysterical. Loved Northern Exposure! Most new shows I liked “they” dumped them . Favorite movie scene ever is in Close Encounters of the Third Kind, when Richard Dreyfus starts building the "sculpture" in his kitchen and he's throwing the bushes in through the kitchen window. I rarely watch movies and I can't remember the last movie I saw in a theater. I've never even watched Titanic because I know how it ends. LOL. My husband, OTOH, is a movie addict and he is currently in withdrawal, not only because he can't watch any of the new movies, but also because he goes to the movie theater in hot weather to cool off. He really was suffering last week. And no, we don't subscribe to Netflix, or Disney+ or any of the other services, just plain vanilla cable. I'd rather read.
Pat
MissPathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06807348837446241284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6514394646355489375.post-16730392532399781492020-07-12T16:37:39.464-07:002020-07-12T16:37:39.464-07:00Oh, we could watch movies/TV together any time, I ...Oh, we could watch movies/TV together any time, I think. And I really don't get tired of watching them over again. But I know what I really DON'T like - dark, violent, too realistic shoot-em-ups. My husband goes to those movies without me. Ironically I read that type of book quite often, but hate the movies. And I have to agree with you totally on Northern Exposure - and about Jimmy Stewart.
