I Like Thursday #

I like coloring in my calendar by Joanna Basford

I know it's Thursday and the day of likes for this week... but I have had a week of adverse reactions to the first vaccine and am not quite myself...and it's been a week now... then this...

guess what? Blogger is going to take away more things we like such as following a blog by email.

which is very handy as a reminder to read blogs I enjoy, and for you to remember to visit with me.

this is the notice I received:

FollowByEmail widget (Feedburner) is going away

Hey google/blogger. Thanks for making life less sweet.

So forgive me for not getting out to visit and not having many likes except some videos.

yep, a new obsession is these two otters living in Japan. The video with their birthday "cake"
was fabulous! This one is about the new pool

also

I have discovered Mayim Bialik's video podcasts. She is an actress that had achieved Ph.D's in neuroscience and talks to others about things that take us down... do you want to understand others and accept them? this link takes you to a talk with Leslie  and his experiences this life

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zsFH8n2LSc

this one is talking about living with physical pain and being a comedian and a woman

for my friends who, like me would love to actually see how things were done long ago...time crashers (celebrities from England) go back and perform tasks as servants in a castle in 1500

I tried a new to me recipe for cinnamon buns offered by Jenny can cook

she made it look much easier than it was on me, but still we had 8 fat juicy buns

I like waking up without an alarm clock, having dh make a pot of coffee for me, sitting at my computer and seeing fun things, learning each day, folding clean laundry making order out of chaos. New notebooks and pens, lots of fabric, having my own studio space.

The new season of Brokenwood is out, and we watched episode one... I'm reading

and listening to in the studio

I'm figuring out how to quilt my "lozenge" scrap quilt in sections, and making my table runner for dh's bedside table this week, more on Saturday

Milo's Moments

Hi Y'all... just hanging out with my peeps, trying to divide my attention equally with my three ring toys and ball... sometimes I collect them all in one place and sleep on them. Sometimes I choose one to take out for a walk, or one to play in the yard. Lately Mama is tricking me by throwing one, and as I come back she has one in her hand, sheesh! Chaos! Disorder! I drop it like it's hot, and chase the new one thinking I'll get back before she can pick up the first one... but she's quick.

Please visit these people with lists for the week too!

Oh sorry you are having a reaction. My first dose reaction was just a really sore arm for about 10 days. I didn't do so well with the 2nd dose, but not as bad as others. Yeah I saw the blogger notice too. I don't follow many blogs by e-mail anymore, I just use bloglovin and when I have time I scroll through to see who has new posts. Your cinnamon rolls look yummy. Your coloring pages are always gorgeous.

Hope you're feeling better after your vaccination! Frustrating that the tech people always have to change things that we use and there's no problem with. We're enjoying Brokenwood, too - such a fun show!

I'm sorry you've had a bad reaction to the vaccine. Hopefully you'll feel better every day. Being fully vaccinated is giving me some feelings of normalcy. We'll still be cautious about going places with big crowds, but on Saturday we're joining 2 couples for supper at one house. All have been vaccinated at least once, and all have been social distancing. And this afternoon I'm going to play cards with 3 girlfriends - indoors. Again, we've all been social distancing and are all vaccinated. It's a way to "party" before one of the gals has knee replacement surgery next week.

Dang, sorry you had a reaction to the vaccine, hopefully all will pass soon. We use feedburner too and that stinks. Love those cinnamon rolls though. Hey Milo, keep having fun, that's what it's all about. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

Hope you are feeling better soon. I got the feedburner notice, too. Not sure what to do about that. I don't have many email subscribers but I have a few.

I watched the whole otter video just to see if they'd go down the slide. I was pretty sure I saw a slide and then I couldn't find it. What fun resources!

Now I'm craving cinnamon buns. Sorry the vaccine hit you hard. Hope you perk up soon. After a wonderful week of spring, we're back in the cold again. I'm seeing recommendations for using either Bloglovin' or Feedly as a solution to the email notification issue. I follow too many blogs to try to remember to check them all. Maybe I'll just wind up reducing my list (but I'll always be here for yours).

I've started researching how to replace the email from feedburner. Bummer that you've reacted badly to the vaccine. Feel better soon!

Hey...I hope you are feeling better by the time you read this. I am going to check our Mayim Bialik's podcast. Thanks for the recommendation.

Yes, hope you are fine now. I didn't know that about cancelling the email feature. Must check it out. I like Mayim and watch her often and I've loved Iliza's two stand up shows we found on Netflix...she does great voices too. I've just found those Mandy and wife videos..so charming and funny. Love the way Milo collates his toys!

I will be checking out Mayim's podcast and the Tudor food video. I love watching people try and live out older ways. My first vaccine made me feel very unwell. I had Covid and didn't feel that bad! I have my 2nd vaccine next week and am dreading it. I hope you are feeling better. Thanks for linking up.
