hand sewing these hexie stars! |
The Rainbow scrap challenge color of the month is brown/black, so here's some chandelier blocks in both. For black I used my black with multi colors scraps.
See the gray? it's my design wall, back in use since I got the lattice blocks all sewn together into three big sections, and off the wall!
More about that later.

after I sewed the chandelier blocks, I put up the start to my halloween quilt. I'm not sure if I'll keep those backgrounds or how large they will be either. So many decisions!
here they are with some ideas around them. So busy! I might have to seriously tone this down.

Your Halloween quilt is going to be wonderful! I envy those who quilt, it's on my wish list one of these days when I have more room! I pull out the sewing machine mainly for repair work now, but I miss it!
These Halloween blocks are so bright and cheery, it put a smile on my face, LeeAnna. It's going to be wonderful and I see you are going rogue like me. I'm loving doing it this way even though it is a test of my creativity. The owls are amazing!
Great blocks on your Halloween piece--will be looking to see how they come together...Love the Witch's Hat and the Hoot Owls...
hugs, Julierose
These chandelier blocks are so fun. I have a set going on too. Can't wait to see your top when they are all gathered together.
Those fence fabrics are perfect with the owls.
Your chandelier blocks are always a favorite of mine to see, and they are pretty in the browns and black prints. I bet you have fun doing a little fussy cutting for the centers!
You sure do stay SuperBusy! Love your work!
Those owls are SEW cute and I really like your DARK Chandelier blocks, too!!
Those black with bright fabrics make up beautifully. And I love your owls.
More lovely chandelier blocks - I do love this idea. xx
Just catching up today because I've been traveling and doing programs! Crazy Colorado weather! Love the chandelier and owl blocks! Milo cracks me up, Scout only sits and waits when her doggy friends are approaching otherwise she wants to keep moving!! Have a great week!
Your owl blocks are so cute and cheerful!
Yes! I hear you! My time is split so many different ways - like a multi-flavored pie! Your chandelier quilt is so pretty! You, young lady, are quite talented! That EPP star is lovely - I can see it as a beautiful Christmas tree topper/ornament! Thank you so much for sharing!

Fun projects. I just love the hexie star... but then again I do love blue. Your chandelier blocks are looking great.
Love the whimsy in your Halloween quilt. I don't think it is busy at all. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
What a great idea! Using a combination of all your varied Halloween blocks to make a quilt! I’ll be keeping an eye out for a finish.
The chandelier looks delightful. It's such a straightforward block for using scraps, and gives a fascinating result.
So pretty, I especially love the blue hexie star.
