I Like Thursday #163

Welcome to this week's list of likes.... I like starting on my owl Halloween quilt!
I like these new Halloween lights

I like that the snow is now melted in the 85F weather today!!! From 12F to today's 80's. crazy.
I like that we saved the mums in the garage...
the trees were on their way to spectacular color but the low low temps turned them all brown, wah
glad we bothered to save some flowers as this week is warmer and I love their color.
The last purple roses at trader Joes brighten the house
I like my studio book, funny and easy to follow while working. Modern day romance.

and these library books
>I like having wine a couple days a week again
>I liked my art quilt group meeting yesterday, and everyone there.
>I love Survivor this season, and Good Doctor, New Amsterdam, This is Us, and Great British baking show.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blMOWYmeucA
Also I now watch the show Too cute on discovery family, while I have lunch. I've been quite depressed, and watching baby animals is like balm to my soul.
One day a teacup pig took up with the pet rabbit, the two got into the kitchen and that little pig tippy toes behind the bunny and snuggling up to it when it stops, is beyond cute. It's on the video.

I liked the craft show we visited last weekend, and took this pic of moose for my friend Angie.
I'll do a painting post Friday with the pretty colors I've used this week, and a sewing post Saturday!
>I loved talking to my friend Cindy Wednesday afternoon.... we can share tears, fears and laughter as well as art. A good friend is worth gold.

Milo's moments

Hi Y'all... I like things done my way. when I walk I want to take my ring toy. when I eat I want the kibble heated up and my pawrents to hold the bowl. when I rest I want the chair or my kennel available, and to be lifted up into the big bed for night. I like to walk at the same time each day.

In payment for all that understanding, I love to greet Mama everytime I come in from a walk, I wag and rush up to her. I keep an eye on things around here and send out the bark alarm when someone drops a box at the front door.
Why yesterday, I barked the place down but, what? no mama came to see. I had to go all the way up the stairs to the back studio, and tell her, "Hey! What's up? didn't you hear me bark? There's someone at the door!!!"
Mama: "sorry buddy, thanks for telling me"
Milo; " well, then come down and LOOK!"
Mama: " oh! Sorry, coming!"
and we all came down and out the front door, when I gave the whole driveway a good look, and finding no one there knew it was because I scared them off! Job done!

The next day, I spied the perfect peeps for my pawrents, coming down the sidewalk. I quickly planted my butt in place to wait for them. I had to withstand Mama's pulling on my harness and begging me to come on. she has no idea what's good for her, and she needed to meet these people! When they got up to me, I totally snuggled the lady, who said "thanks! I needed a poodle hug today" and I knew she did! then I petted the man for a minute but went back to the woman and gave her a good leaning on, while she and mama talky-talked. Mama thanked me after as they will make a great couple to hang out with if we can find them again. Mama had no phone with her, and I can't write phone numbers so that's on them!

After you leave mama a message that makes her smile, please go read these people's lists too!

OMD - 12 to 80 degrees! That is CRAZY! Bummer about your beautiful autumn leaves. Heated kibble, Milo? Hey, I think I need mom to do this for me!

Hi LeeAnna! Oh yes to enjoying this Survivor season. I love seeing Boston Rob and Sandra, and hearing their comments about the players. Holy moly - 12 degrees to 80+. That is just NUTS. Mums love the cool, crisp weather even around 30 but 12 is a bit nippy. I'm happy you brought all the hanging plants inside the garage - they are still so pretty! Sweet Milo - it sounds a bit like you would like and should be called King Milo. It is so nice that you sensed that couple is a good one and should be in your mama's life. ~smile~ Roseanne

Glad you were able to keep some of your flowers through the Big Freeze! The leaves around here were definitely affected, and they were just starting to get pretty! I love those moose with the skis. You're finding so many good books at your library - that's a favorite place of mine, too!

Your temperature swing was crazy! I've been struggling a bit this past couple of weeks too. Brief "ups" with bursts of creativity . . . and then back "down" in the dumps. Survivor has been very interesting this season and I look forward to each episode. And I've been watching Downton Abbey on Amazon Prime since going to the movie. I'm halfway through the second season now.

Seriously? Snow then 85? I think we were supposed to get some remnants of that....but it blew away. Cute owl. The flowers are gorgeous. LOL Milo protecting you. Bobbin watches out the window at the driveway. If someone is there she will stand on the arm of the recliner between me and the people on the driveway (they were installing a transmitter for the gas meter) until they leave. Um no Milo you cannot stand on the arm of the chair, you are too much of a hunk of handsome poodle to fit.

Milo's view was so cute and clever this week. Seeing the world through a dog's eye does help drive away the blues, I think. You were so smart to get your mums before the big temp drop. I didn't and there are none to be found now.

It snowed and then you had a 85 degree day? Yikes that some swing in the weather.

I love that Milo made an appearance. I always enjoy seeing him.

Have a fabulous day. Scritches to Milo. ♥

LOVE your Halloween owl. Pretty flowers. mmm... wine. But not compatible with quilting. So no wine for a while. lol. Enjoy yours!

I'm glad you sheltered your flowers so you can enjoy them for a little while longer. Can't believe you went right back up to the 80's after the snow. Our leaves have really not turned much yet and we had rain and wind the last two days, so I'm not sure how much fall color we will get. At least I hope the wind brought down most of the remaining black walnuts, so I can get them off the lawn. Milo is certainly doing his best to keep you safe and engaged. Can't wait to see the Halloween quilt. That owl is intriguing.

The snow and cold temps sure hurried much of the green leaves to more autumnal colors though not quite as vibrant as they would have been without the freeze. Enjoy the lovely temps before the next round of cold temps and moisture.

LA - Awwww - that baby animal video is adorable - I think I could watch it over and over and never stop smiling. I can see why that would help with a down day. THANK YOU for thinking of me and taking a picture of the moose with skis. LOVE IT. You are a special lady and I hope the happy days outnumber the down days!
