I Like Thursday #198

Feeling a bit frazzled? Join me for this week's list of likes!
1.That is a wild woman pin purchased years ago in MD. That's what my hair looks like most of the time! (And I just had to superglue her head back on, she lost it in the move) (me too)

2.  I liked setting our fountain back up for summer, so do the birds
3. I like birds just not on my patio furniture!

4. I liked that this little fellow landed right next to the giant poodle on our morning walk, just looked at him, Milo looked back, it was all good. I don't think he could fly well yet.

5.This was a week where it was much easier to make a long long list of I Don't Like's.
This TED talk kind of explained why I'm not unusual, and also gave me motivation to think about and write an
"I LIKE" list
https://www.ted.com/talks

6.I liked finishing the pink flower lady this week, story on Saturday with whole pictures!
7. Does anybody really know what time it is? (full shots on Saturday's sewing round-up)
I liked the hand embroidery class I took with Sue Spargo and love the finished sample piece I designed! It's time to dig out my bead stash and start using them a lot!

8.I liked this post on the wisdom of aging https://meditationsinmotion.wordpress.com

9. I like Poodles on a Patio
10. I liked making pancakes one morning then having  leftovers to warm up the next morning
pretty colors in measuring tools
I liked making up a recipe this week: olive oil and a butter pat in a saute pan. Frozen turkey burgers, and a simmer sauce of 1/4 cup lemon juice, 3/4 cup cooking sherry, tsp minced garlic, sliced lemon poured on top, sliced mushrooms (I had to use a jar). Simmer til done Yum.

11.I painted several pictures for tomorrow's Paint Party Friday post
another mandala
12. I like baby elephants a lot...Ever wonder how I continue on, despite the current health crisis  and our government that feels foreign to me?
one word:
elephants

13. I love Milo... each morning when I get up, he snuggles with me as I sit at the computer
yes, my haircut is new, thank you lots!
I liked that my husband gave me a nice compliment this week, when I brushed/plucked/shaved and scissored Milo on the grooming table. He said," how wonderful you know how to cut his hair, my hair and your hair during this pandemic!"
Always willing to lend a paw to you Mama!
Always on the lookout to protect!
Milo's Moments of gratitude this week
Hi Y'all! Guess what? I followed the Mama up to the poodle gift room this week
Editor's note: it's the guest room
and Mama gave me a new toy! Fresh, not a bit of spit on it, still in it's wrapper I got off quick like, with 8 legs ready to be chewed off!
Mama: um... why don't you just shake and squeak it for a night instead of tearing it right up?
Milo: what fun is that?

Awww Milo looks so handsome with his new cut! You do good work! Great likes this week. I noticed that Scout is getting much calmer now that she is well past three years old. Sounds like Milo is too, not going for the bird? Wowsa!

That elephant video is so cute! Mama just wants to take a nap! I love your flower lady - looking forward to hearing more about her. Lucky you, Milo, to have a new toy!

Can't wait to see the whole flower lady!! My likes this morning - no wind howling, my lilies are both blooming, and my cleaning lady is coming this morning.

Poodles on the patio...what's not to like! I love seeing your art and craft projects too! Always something fun to do when you're creative! Happy Thursday my friend! Hugs!

I think I need to try a Mandala. Yours is so cool. You are lucky you can do those haircuts. Is your area opening up and you are choosing not to go out? That’s where I am except for groceries and drugs. Our new case numbers are soaring. Your pink lady is so cool, can’t wait to seethefinished mini.

yes it's opening and people are acting like it's all okay. Nothing is changed, they don't keep distance, they don't wear masks. It's not safe. I will continue to cut our hair for a long time...

Whenever someone asks me what time it is, I feel compelled to say "4:30" (from a Van Morrison song). #5 got me "thinking." I thought your dog looks like he's wearing a Russian pillbox hat! I enjoyed the essay on aging.

Baby elephants are a sure-fire way to put a smile on a peep's face. Thanks for sharing.
P.S. You do such an amazing job on Milo's grooming. I'm very jealous (as is Elsa-she just doesn't know it). ;)

Some days frazzled doesn't even begin to cover it but all those wonderful photos sure helps. Milo, you look right snazzy pal. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

What a great list of things you've been doing! And I had a "why didn't I think of that moment" with the pancakes. Of course, make extras! I could eve freeze them and stop buying the Eggos. LOL

I need to start an "I like" list just for the positive mindset it produces. I wish I could wear a wild pin like the one in your picture. I am such a plain Jane when it comes to accessories!

My hair looks a bit like that at times, Sometimes I think it would be easier to just have it like that all the time; less fussing over it. Haha. I enjoyed reading this post. I don't make turkey burgers very often, but that recipe sounds tasty!

Beautiful quilt. Milo is a cutie.

I like your pin. The fountain is neat. I agree, no birds on the patio furniture. Milo is a lot fast with toy destruction than Bobbin, but eventually they get there.

Frazzled. Yup. Looking forward to seeing more of the pink lady. Don't all octopuses have 7 legs? :-) Good likes!

Hi LeeAnna! Aww, Milo! I love Milo, too. I love that shot of him on the patio, and how he greets you each morning. ~smile~ Roseanne

I'm not so much frazzled as depressed. I haven't been commenting much on blog posts because I have more negative thoughts than positive and "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all" as they say. I guess I should watch that Ted Talk. Milo is looking good in his new "do". I like the glimpse of the pink lady and look forward to seeing the finish. And, oh, that baby elephant video was so cute.
