I Like Thursdays #171

at Nordstrom
Welcome to this week's list of likes! I like sparkle and the mall had a lot of it from eye shadows to birkenstocks
I love birkenstocks!
I got a couple ornaments for our tree at Macy's 65% off sale.

I was super excited to see a silver elephant. When we viewed this house, we put in a bid right away and I left the owners a note:
"We'll take it, choose us, leave the elephant"
We tagged this 'elephant house" as they had an enormous pottery painted elephant from India, in the dining room
While there and at Nordstrom, I saw a few cool displays. How about this one of felt?? Cool right?
I liked the gold ball inside a clear ball display
we left with three of the silvery fronds for the top of our tree!
I saw this pretty whole cloth quilt... wowie! expensive...
what was this? thermos with poodles, and with flamingos? Is there another "me" out there designing kitchen items?
Crate and Barrel had some egg plates
while standing on line at Khols, I spied a pick-me-up.
I just loved this little table top tree at crate and barrel. Another couple stood admiring it with us. Tiny little delicate ball ornaments. Ahhhh living in a crate and barrel house...

I love the books I've picked up at the library, just need to actually read them.

I like modern swing bands on youtube! This might not have been the best band, but the tap dancing was awesome. And anyone who asks the question what to do with a big fat butt... well you've got my attention

I like poinsettias and plan to paint some for tomorrow's post. I've been sewing gifties for dog friends, so maybe those on Saturday. I wrote another post on Tuesday about connections.

Milo's Moment
I like unpacking the boxes the mailman brings to the crib. First I bark him off, then when mama brings in the box, I graciously help her open it and pull out the papers!

I also like my new rabbit treats. Thanks dad!

WHOA "Sparkling birkies??? How cool are they...but would you wear them? Yikes!! I mean you'd have to at least do a "soft shoe" in them...
Reminds me of Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz (hers being red and sparkly, of course lol)Hugs, julierose

I always enjoy wandering through the mall and other shops this time of year and seeing fun sparkly things too. But I haven't had a chance to do that this year yet. Hoping for a "shopping escape" next week one day.

Love those sparkly Birkenstocks! And my burning question is, did the poodle and flamingo water bottles go home with you? :)

Good Morning! Gold sparkly Birkenstocks. Those are new to me and they would be comfy and catch attention. WOWEE - that felt pinecone is SO cool. How easy would that be to make?! Just sayin' . . . I hope you got both thermos - poodles and flamingos?!! They are definitely designing for you. Milo is laying there like the sweet angel he is. Enjoying that packing paper! ~smile~ Roseanne

I miss my trips to FL to see my mom and dad in December. Mom and I loved hitting all of the stores that were decorated for Christmas.

The poodle thermos is YOU. I hope Santa sends it for Christmas.
I would like the table top tree. That's all the room we have and perhaps it would be easier to put up and take down.

Thanks for the virtual tour of the shopping mall. I haven't been in a mall in probably two years. I don't even go to the craft sales any more because I don't want to be tempted by things I don't have room for. Now show me a fabric sale....

I have loads of books stashed away in need of reading. At some point I became more of a book collector than a reader. I used to read about 150 books a year but I'm down to about 50, mostly because of my eyesight. But the books keep piling up.

Those birkenstocks are too much. lol Oh, all that quilting. Those egg plates are fun, too. I love Caravan Palace (I think they're modern/electric swing).

I plan to go to a mall next week. Sometimes I can feel overwhelmed in them..so much to see. It seems like the tree ornaments nowadays match all kinds of different tastes which is great.
There is definitely a flamingo love going on out there because I see them all over and I always think of you when I do.

You've reminded me that I have 4 new cookbooks and the latest Maisie Dobbs novel I got from that the library waiting for me downstairs. Glitter Birkenstock would be fun to wear. I sometimes wear glitter purple Converse shoes for special occasions. Cheers!
