I Like Thursday #193

welcome to this week's list of likes. I love to draw and paint and see color mix on paper

for inspiration for words this week, I turned to google images and collect the tiny thumbnail images on one sheet of paper to remind me...like this

 On TV

new (to us) show Secrets of the museum described as, "Following the team of experts and conservators who are hard at work behind the scenes of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London" We watch on youtube on our roku

Secrets of the Museum (TV Series 2020– ) - IMDb

 reading on ebook

2nd in series and a fun easy series to read at night

Listening to on audio

VERY entertaining and intriguing read to me as I create my art

 On line viewing

I love Barbara Streisand... this song is new to me and means so much now when we all need to see the value in each other...please listen to her words

i was enamored of this family this week... really could just calmly watch the antics of the baby and the loving gestures and protectiveness of his mama

Fine Dining this week chez LeeAnna

all that's left, it was so good

https://tastesbetterfromscratch.com/peach-cobbler/ we made it with frozen peaches and one fresh pear

I used the following video as a start to my chicken marsala and was it ever delish!!!!!!

Lastly I returned to the idea of peanut butter cups... but it worked this time due to this guy

we used almond butter and love them. The shape was so cute for Easter too. Packed them in a container to enjoy all week after lunches

Milo's Moment

Milo: I love the indestructible chickens! I was gnawing on one this week when I heard "blah blah blah chicken" from Mama... then this appeared from the garage!!!

Mama: your two chicken skins are about chewed to smithereens darling, so have fun with this one who has two legs, two wings a head that squeaks a comb and a topknot!

Milo: yessss by the way have you seen my most chewed chicken Mama?

Mama: um,uh,  I think it left the house, sometimes they do that and we thank them for all the hours of fun they gave us, and learn to love  new chickens.

Milo: that's crazy... but I do like a new toy! I just don't understand how the old one got away with no legs no wings no head.

now please visit Mama's friends here to see what they liked this week!

It's funny how our pups have favorite toys. Can't believe your chicken is indestructible! Great likes this week and love your bunny artwork on the first photo! Have a great week!

I bet Milo love his toy. I bet he's like Pete and can make a real mess of a toy. I really enjoyed the Postcript Murder also. And nice paintings. Isn't paint a wonderful thing Hope you're having a great week. Hugs-Erika

The dragonfly painting/drawing is gorgeous. Sounds like a good week, lots of likes. Oh the peanut butter cups worked this time! Bobbin only destroys an occasional toy. I guess I should be happy about that.

Love your Bunny stitchery! Golly she’s cute! That song I’d new to me too! Very true! “No child should be homeless “. I’m a Streisand fan!
Preppy Kitchen is a favorite of our son. He has a Bourbon Chicken recipe that is really good and really easy!

It's so funny how dogs - and kids - have those favorite toys that are worn out, but they still want them. LOL Love those dragonflies!! Happy belated Easter!

What a great collection of inspirational ideas! Your chicken Marsala sounds delicious and I always enjoy a good cobbler!

I need to get a color printer so I can print little images from Google for my planner!

I haven't read that Elly Griffiths! I'll have to grab it ASAP, I just finished what I was reading...

And I love the idea of Secrets of the Museum. I tend to be intrigued by behind the scenes stuff anyway (like How it works kinds of things), I'll have to see where I can find it.

Poor Milo- they never understand why you take away the toys that are getting too chewed up. I took one away from Spooky this week after it had gotten to the state where small potentially dangerous pieces were falling off....

Your art is always so pretty and your food looks yummy! Milo, as long as new chickens show up just enjoy and don't worry about why the chicken crossed the road. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

Love your Fireflies! I too love Barbara, but had never heard that song and boy does it hit the mark in today's world. Thanks for sharing that. Made a note of Nantucket Neighbors. I've been reading lots of heavy WWII books of late and need something a bit lighter for a break.

I think Milo and Milly would make good chew toy experts....Milly says that’s the best bit of a new toy. I think she plays a game of ‘how quickly can I demolish the squeaker’!

Your dragon flies are very beautiful! Thanks for the delicious recipes too. I should listen something from Griffits. This week I have listened Pam Jenoff’s novels. Do you know her? Greetings to Milo!

I might need to find an indestructible chicken for my daughter's dog - he chews everything! Chicken Marsala sounds so good, and that peach dessert looked tasty too! Those dragonflies are lovely!

I’ve not heard of Secrets of the museum. I’ll try and find that one. I do watch The Repair Shop, which I find fascinating.
Indestructible dog toy? Does that exist? I doubt it…..
The food sounds delicious but my hubby’s on a diet, so I’d better not look at this too long, or I’ll get hungry.
Hugs,
Lisca

LeeAnna - that Barbra Streisand song is new to me as well, and very poignant. Considering it was made quite some time ago (I am assuming) it strikes me that as much as things change, they sadly remain the same! Love your dragonflies!

I love Barbra Streisand. At one time we had all her albums, first on cassette and then on CD. Never heard this song, though. Bird photos very interesting.

I listened to Barbara while looking at those gorgeous photos. Remarkable both. Love peaches in all their forms and will that chicken be indestructible. Cause I need one if it is!

Your dragonflies look so pretty! Loved that baby gorilla. He's so tiny compared to the adult's hand! And the way the big ones just pull him around, hysterical!
