Pink is perfect for flamingos
If I didn't know how much I like paper piecing I would think I hate it.
This little block nearly
done
me
in.
I had to rip out many times.
It wasn't til I took this picture that I realized I made mistakes on each block.
Whatever.
This little scrap of blue used is pretty and perfect for water, isn't it. All gone now. It's hard to use up some fabrics while exciting to use up others... interesting.

Super cute! I look forward to seeing your V-day quilt! I just finished one today.
Hi LeeAnna!
They look great!
I tried paper piecing for the first time during the handwork weekend!
The lesson was very clear!
I made every mistake I think possible. Stitches way too small, fabric too small to cover the point, wrong number order, cut off the wrong fabric when trimming the seam allowances! I think the next attempt will be better!
Looking forward to your Valentine's quilt!
Take care,
Joanne

Awesome flock!
I really like them.
OMG! I LOVE the flamingos. I ALWAYS make mistakes. I tell everyone that is the way it was supposed to be........some never know!
I have the same relationship with paperpieceing, I have a love/hate feeling for it.
The flamingo is awesome!
It's amazing how those little oopsies just jump out when you look at a photo but not in real life viewing. I finished a whole paper pieced poinsettia quilt for Christmas the realized I made one tiny triangle background instead of white. It didn't get fixed - Too much to rip out to do that. It just reminds me to be very mindful and even then.....mistakes happen. ( my sister would say,"It's a gift from God. Work with it."
Just tell everyone it's artistic license - you meant to do it that way. I can't see the problem you mention. Love the pattern, and the fabrics you used. They are flamingoes. (Who's the pattern designer?)
No pink cows?
Hugs
Fun blocks, great way to use up your pink scraps. Paper piecing takes some getting used to. It's not my favorite thing, but it works really well if a block has lots of angles.
Incredible job paper piecing.
I don't see mistakes, they both look good to me! And yes, it is painful to see the last of some prints but exciting to see others finally gone. Interesting indeed.
They look good to me...almost as cute as all of them I have back in the flower garden! I think I'm paper-pieced challenged so admire anyone who even attempts it.
Have you ever seen two flamingos that are exactly the same? I don't think so :) so I think that if they didn't turn out like the picture, it's just great! You gave them their own personality! ;) thanks for linking up on my blog!!
They look pretty good to me! Love flamingos and that fabric is perfect for water alright!
Hi!!!! I love them both!!!! Very pretty blocks!!!!
I enjoy paper-piecing too. You can get such perfect tiny pieces! The flamingos are cool and so is the water. :) www.quiltartbymegan.com
I've made that very pattern. I finished only one block and quit. Finally turned it I to a potholder for summer. Can't even remember where the pattern came from. Might have been a swap.
ooops, sorry about the pattern source. It's my so precise software, which has hundreds of pp blocks you can make any size.

So gorgeous! I love pink flamingos! Beautifully done!
Sew cute! Glad you stuck with them!
too cute!! And a good winter, cheer one up project!
Both of your blocks look fabulous to me, LeeAnna. I am not good at paper piecing. You did a wonderful job of making two beautiful flamingos!
I love this! Where did you get the flamingo pattern?
Leeanna, you often crack me up!
That fabric makes for perfect water1 I know what you mean about it being hard to use some fabrics up. While there are others that I will give away at the drop of a hat. Love your flamingos!
I love these blocks!
Great flamingoes you made. It's often like that, you can't see the mistakes until you put it on the blog. I can see the mistake on the first one, but I think the oter one is perfect.
I love your flamingoes! They look perfect to me.
I love your flamingoes, too! I hope you are doing well and giving Cole lots of tummy rubs!

I think your flamingos are awesome. Paper piecing can be frustrating--but soo addictive, and the results are always worth the hassles, don't you think?
Thanks for sharing your flamingos and pink cows at Inspire Me Monday at Create With Joy - I LOVE them, they made me SMILE! :-)
