My creative week....last week of June 2022

ICAD prompt  "pineapple"
welcome to this week's creativity round up... This is one of my index card a day paintings... the prompt was "pineapple" and even my pineapples are full of color and inked lines!

My round up will include some finished quilts as well but might as well finish by sharing a few ICAD's and remember I'm keeping a daily diary on the back of each one.

a week's worth..

Prompts were mix and match, jukebox, mango, solstice, ouija board, selvedge, and bitmap

I finished binding the Leaf Study piece this week

"Leaf Study"

a few close ups... beaded, hand embroidered, machine quilted...it sparkles in person...

I learned the free style blanket stitch in a workshop this year

for Table scraps this month, using dark/bright blue scraps and stripes...

Used the hand embroidered learning piece  on the left, adding a strip set to it, and sewed a new "stripes" strips piece with a cutie manatee from the scrap bin, and made two journal covers

more table scraps at the link party here: https://thejoyfulquilter.blogspot.com/2022/06/june-2022-table-scraps-challenge-link.html

finally, for RSC who's color of the month is dark/bright blue scraps my twinkler star, pattern is at superscrappy

and all the stars by color so far this year:

Wow! Excellent creative endeavors this week. Love that pineapple, and then the jukebox showed up as I scrolled down. Love those musical notes.

What a productive person you've been! The leaves are lovely - as are the journal covers. I tried ICAD but failed at keeping up and decided the daily-thing just isn't for me. Yours are wonderful.

Leaf study is awesome!! Ouija board brings back lots of fond memories. It's the only thing I kept form my childhood. My mom and I used to have such fun with it. All your quilting is so pretty. And the pineapples is gorgeous. It looks like it should be a piece of glass work.

Your pineapple is such fun with all those splashes of bright and happy colour. The Leaf Study is lovely both in design and the way all those hues blend together. This creative piece does indeed sparkle with the embroidery and beads; and the quilting. It is calming and restful to the eyes.

Aargh! I'm not getting email notifications of new posts again, so I've fallen behind. That pineapple is great and so are the other ICADs. Hot here and we need rain. Had a brief downpour late today, but I'm sure it didn't sink in very deep. I'm whittling away at cleaning out my husband's clutter, but it's hard to get motivated when it's hot and when it's cooler I work out in the yard. I guess it's not going anywhere, so I'll get ot bit when I get to it.

Gosh! Your Leaf Study is gorgeous and I can't really even appreciate the sparkle on the computer screen. Very cool how all the elements got stitched together. I really like the flying geese on the side. Beautiful!
