I am posting this because I have done 217 previous posts to remind myself of goodness.
That is 4 years, 2 months and a week. If you'd said to me I could do that, I would have been skeptical.
I can give you three likes this week:
My husband urged me to take a break from blogging as the election has left me drained and worried. I love him, and am thankful that I have a good man by my side, who thinks, and believes in facts, who is not swayed by rhetoric or dark-ages fear mongering.
I love Milo who is steadfast and kind to others and loves me.
Do you care about me too? I hope to return to a place where I can turn off my worries, and make note of nice things next week.
I also like this song's words
"nor will they be torn by war or hesitate to love justice"
Oh and a message to the covidiots who said the virus would go away on Nov 4th...it has no American political beliefs... IT IS A VIRUS. The infection rates are climbing beyond what doctors and nurses in ICU's around the globe can handle. Why do you listen to people with an agenda on things you can find facts about?
Maybe these good-hearted wonderful women can lift your spirits today when I cannot...
not posting this week

we are with you, there is no day or date for the virus to go away... no one can say what happens... so we have to stay healthy and to try to be no danger for those around us.... btw: we love the song!!!!!! it fits to this time, absolutely...
AMEN!
We're always hopeful that the virus will diminish itself but there really are days we wonderful what's coming next. But we're thankful for family and friends like you. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Hi LeeAnna,
A wise thing to do.
Take care of yourself, then we can enjoy more of your creativity and fun later :)
hugs,
Joanne
You are loved and cared about, LeeAnna! We can get through this. Give Milo lots of scritches today and take care of yourself!
I've found the stress this week overwhelming as well. I'm normally a news junkie but have been watching "chick flicks" and Food Network instead. Hang in there!!
I haven't slept in two days and have encountered some of the same rhetoric you are talking about. I'm a scientist, and you have to prove it to me, not just spout something out that was parroted by someone on twitter. I hope you feel better soon. I guess we'll both know how we feel once this election has been put to bed. Let's hope there's a new personfamily sleeping in the White House in January because the virus is here to stay until we get real leadership showing otherwise.
I care about you!! And the best thing about the I Like lists is you!! You create this community and give us a reason to keep going! Thank you for being there for us! My pups are all sending dog kisses and bounces to you (and little nips from the new guy).
I wonder if any of them are noticing that the virus is still here. Hoping and praying that we can make America decent again. Hang in there!
me too... my spirit is lagging after the worry... golden rule people... remember it please!
Dear Leeanna,
I am glad that your blog came into my life. The global impact of the last 4 years with Trump as your president and what will occur over the next years scares me to death (and I am a Canadian). You have every right to your anxiety. Guess you have to carry on wisely as you have been: creating, loving your family members, treating people with kindness, inspiring those that read your blog with your strength of character. I am afraid for my 3 children (all in their 30's and well educated) because of the mess created but I have to have hope that each has the resilience to manage.
I'm glad your hubby is there with you, to help calm you and care for you. I've taken less time on social media as of late, and it's helped immensely.
Preach it on the COVID & the idiots that said it was all for the election. Our numbers in Kentucky are the highest every - every single day - goes higher & higher.
What beautiful music from S and C . This makes me so sad and happy at the same time...Lucy and Ruby love this!
take care, Sonja
Hi LeeAnna! I am sorry you are feeling so stressed. {{Hugs}} You deserve a big hug and I would love to deliver it in person. Keep the TV off. The news is not worth hearing right now. You have done you job. You voted. That's ALL you can do. Trust the process to work. It's the American Way afterall, in spite of what the leader may want to say. ~smile~ Roseanne
I kind of determined probably best to stay off of FB for me also. All the hate is exhausting. I looked forward to writing my post this week, even though it was a struggle. Yay for Drew and Milo the voice/woof of reason? Awe you know we love you and totally understand....How do you explain how exhausting this whole year has been? Working, trying to avoid getting ill, the crazy theories about everything (makes you really wonder what ever happened to common sense)it is just fatiguing. I am hoping for a brighter tomorrow.
This election has me on edge too. I am really worry about the results. I find it help to know there are people out there who feel the same way. And I also love that Seals and Crofts song. They were a good band.
Hugs to you. And how lucky to have such a good hubby (it makes such a difference!).
I went to bed at 10PM Tuesday night, in despair. I knew you would be distraught. I should have reached out to you. I'm sorry I didn't. Hang in there. I still fear the outcome, but there's absolutely nothing I can do about it. The weather here took a dramatic turn from the 40's to the 70's. I've been working outside doing end of season garden clean up. I've avoided my usual online new sources just checking quilt and gardening blogs. You're not alone in your feelings. Lots of us feel the same. Take some baby steps to distract yourself. Lean on Drew and Milo and get back to us when you can.
Pat
Leeanna, in times like this I turn to God and not to man. Man may think he has control over what happens in the world, but he is deceived. There will be hard times ahead. Of this I have no doubt, but in the end, good will prevail because God's will always wins over Satan.
Turn to him and you will find peace no matter how scary the world is and no matter the results of the election. Turn to him in prayer and read the good book often.
The election (indeed the past 4 years) has exhausted all of us. We hope for saner times soon. Stay well and safe my friend.
I'm still anxious over the election. I'm tired of the chaos and the hate. Let's hope better times are ahead!
Sharing that you like having a good man and a good dog beside you is enough for today (or any day that you find less to like, LeeAnna!) There no law that says you have to have a long list of likes to share. Some days, it's all we can do to find ONE THING to like, so hang in there, dear friend!!
Turning to my hubs (of 28 yrs) a lot lately too and trying to focus on the good. Love begins in the home. I can't fix the political situation but I can take care of my family and home and maybe the love will radiate out from there? Hang in there!
