I Like Thursday #227

Be the light

I'm sorry that I spent the last week in horror, and can't focus on the likes very well.  I have grappled with trying to just do a normal list today.  What do I like?

I like this graphic showing  that one must have their physical needs met before they can move up... next is safety. That's where I was this week. One can't even feel love til they feel safe.

It has been very difficult for us all. Part of me wants to run away and the other to go back to bed and pull the covers over my head. I'm glad we have our blogs to encourage and support each other! Sweet hugs!

I truly want peace as well. We cannot control others actions, but we can love each other and be there for each other during these difficult times. People are not perfect, and they can be deceived even though they have good intentions. The truth is that God is in charge even though government leaders or power hungry companies mught think they are.we will make it through this if we stay close to Him.

Hang in there! Peace and good health - those are things I crave too. I've actually buried myself more deeply into being creative. Today I'm worried about one of my best friends who is fighting pneumonia in the hospital. Not Covid, but still very sick and it's complicated by her other chronic health issues.

It has truly been discouraging, unsettling and frightening lately. I'm glad for books too, and friends who come alongside and encourage. Hang in there, LeeAnna. Glad you are doing what you need to do for yourself. Thanks for keeping the ILT posts going!

I agree on books, escapist TV, and friends to talk to. We need all the help we can get these days. Take care.

Hi Lee Anne,
I think everyone gets in the dumps now and then, and last year wasn't a good year...so I'm hoping for a good year. Hope your feeling better soon. Oh, I almost forgot, LOVE your water lily quilt, beautiful! Have a great day!

I just keep thinking “It has to get better” LeeAnna. Just concentrate on taking care of you and yours. Be well. Be safe.

Please, you have no need to apologize. Big hugs, LeeAnna.

You're allowed some down time as long as you keep in touch, even minimally. I'd worry more if I didn't hear from you at all. One day at a time. The days are getting longer. The sun still comes up each morning even though I can't see it most of time due to the cloudy skies. Spend some time thinking about what you'll plant this summer.

What an interesting pyramid. Imagine how many people are at level 2 ....no job, afraid of COVID, and afraid of where our country could be headed. Just remember that there are many people who care for you.

Maslov's hierachy! Yup, you need to feel safe. For the most part I'm keeping the news at bay but have the cnn app on my phone and tablet in case. Very rough times.

I had a hard time finding anything positive after the insurrection at the Capitol. It's out there, we just have to look harder. Hugs to you!!
