Our prompt this week is ghosts!
about ghosts or paranormal... have you ever had an
encounter with a spirit, seen one, had a family member show up
after they passed to spirit form on their way to Heaven? Known
when someone passed before being told?
do you ever go on ghost tours ? Do you know anyone who says
they've had an encounter with one passed on?
does it scare you to think about?
On a stay at the Sonoma hotel, we turned off the lights to sleep and woke to every light in the room on. The hotel manager said it was their ghost likely since it's happened to other people.
When my spoo Cole passed, I had encounters with him. Once I had gone to bed, and was shocked to feel him land on the bed turn around and sink down into the covers! I felt him leaning on me. I turned on the light and dh was asleep already... I saw an indentation in the covers and felt him jump down.
I was grieving long after his passing, and taking a lot of walks. One one, I was stopped in mid stride when I felt him say to me "Mama stop grieving now, I'm here and okay and will see you again. But you must stop pining for me, it's holding me back"
I had a teaching friend
who told me the night her sister passed, she saw her clearly at
the foot of my friend's bed, and she said she loved her... then
she got a call later with the bad news... after that my friend
had a lot of intuition or awareness of what was going to happen.
Oh the same night, my friend's little daughter had a visit from
her autie too, in spirit form saying goodbye.
we have visited a lot of old towns and always take the ghost tours... lots of history and fun. I loved Occoquan VA, Williamsburg VA, Annapolis MD, NewPort RI, towns in Massachusetts, etc. Never saw one on those but fun stories about the past, and fun to walk around after dark.
what about you? I hear the most interesting stories when I ask friends about this... they are sure of the messages from loved ones....

I can picture Milo's concern over that blow-up figure. There is a house on a corner not too far from us that has about 20 of those things in the yard plus lots and lots of other Halloween decorations and lights. Crazy, but kind of fun to see!
We did a ghost tour once in New Orleans. The house I grew up in was over 100 years old, and we had some interesting, strange, and disturbing things happen over the years.
Are you looking forward to the snow? Do you get a lot in your area of CO?
What a wonderful experience your friend had, and that is a cherished memory about your beloved pet. I'm with Milo about the lump on the ground. We have Jack Skellington everywhere in town. I'm not into creepy - lol!

I’m with Milo! I don’t like the inflatables either! That one is especially creepy! I think cheese crisps sound wonderfully! I will give them a try also!
Tangerine and rosemary - what an interesting combination. We may be getting snow on Wednesday! Eek - but if we do it will melt quickly.
Nelson got totally spooked when an inflatable he was looking at deflated right in front of him. It was hilarious, but not in his mind! Halloween is a funny time of year. Things that are scary to humans don't bother dogs and things dogs are scared of don't bother humans. Soon we will turn the page to turkey which everyone likes.

I'm not fond of ghost stories. They creep me out.

I am with Milo on thinking those blow-up decorations are a little creepy! The weather has turned cold here, too - the flowers are gone except for the pansies. I've felt the presence of my pets after they have passed - used to see my cats clear as day and absentmindedly went to pet one and they disappeared! Had a dog that loved a certain toy and when he passed, we put it behind the shed, but that toy would appear in all sorts of different places. My Dad was sleeping in bed one night (they used to live right down the road from me) when my Mom was gone visiting my sister, and he woke up in the middle of the night to a man standing at the bottom of his bed. He had a dirty cloth over his nose and mouth and old, dirty clothes on. His property sits over an old coal mine. I've had lights flicker off and on and one time a tiny lamp that was my Mom's, flicked on and off right after she died, and then the shade flew across the room! Also, the phone would ring with her number, but nobody was there. Totally believe... x K
It is so comical when dogs are spooked by the odd thing. Something that waves and flaps dead and alive would drive any dog to bark! No real encounter with ghosts, but have had my mother come once or twice since she is gone.

Yes I can see why Milo is bothered by that Halloween character. One lady walks her dog around Beth's neighbourhood and says he's barking all the way at these blow up creatures bobbing about. I need to get more creative with my cooking. I fall back on the same old things all the time. Interesting ghost stories...I have three friends who have ghost stories and I believe them. Nada for me though.
I use that Badger product along with the night soother lavender. Used it on my kids when they were little :) Milo has a right to be spooked. I don't like inflatables either! Thanks for linking up.
