A poodle, some paint, an outing

On a recent walk/shopping expedition into Annapolis, the three of us visited an art supply store named appropriately "Art Things" .http://www.artthingsinc.com/

This is a very friendly store and the workers there know their supplies so they can tell you all about them. It's a candy store for people like me.

On this day they had some Tee Juice paint marker-daubers on sale so I got a number of them to try out  pointillism on fabric. The stencils will be fun to use as well.
Cole is extremely patient while shopping. He actually looks at each shelf he can reach. Not a glance but really looks. He is amazing...
One time while walking through the sweet town of Saratoga Springs NY I was looking at some gardens along the sidewalk. Some people behind us stopped us to say that Cole was following me, and looking at all the flowers I had, and sniffing them too, walking behind us so we didn't notice.

Anyway.... on this day Cole was finished with his shopping and didn't need any art supplies that day so we went to the register...
The fact that he knew this was the register, and went to the shop owner and sat down with his head under her hand next to the sign... well too good to pass up this blog picture!

Cole: "Well, I'm not standing now am I??"

Cole is a very law abiding poodle

We continued shopping a bit and here are a few pix of his experiences

Cole:
I looked around at the outside stores but there really wasn't that much of interest today.

Don't get me wrong, I still like to look, but it was getting hot, and this stuff was all SO last season.
What's that over in the yard? Was that a squirrel?

Dang! The leash! Grrr! "

I'll leave you today with the following sign. Tomorrow I will show you the paintings I made with those daubers! The whole experiment was so much fun!

The Basset Boyz would not be so patient. DiNozzo would, but McGee is the fly in the ointment.

Can't wait to see your new marker at work!

I love how you find all of these pet friendly places to take Cole. And you're right - for you that store was like a candy store for kids! Have a great week.

Hi Y’all!

My Human's first retriever of her own to train was a standard Poodle. He went everywhere she went, even in department stores. If she went to eat at the restaurant in the store, he waited in a down stay for her just outside. No one, absolutely no one, could make him move.

Did you follow me to http://www.browndogcbr.net. There is a link on http://browndogcbr.blogspot.com .

Hope, if you haven’t already, y’all will come to my new home. I’m still workin’ on it. We need your input.

Y’all hurry on by now!

I'm confused why there would be a "No Standing" sign by the register, but Cole was so mannerly to comply. Good boy, Cole! :)

Like all poodles, Cole knows the rules (some of them like Sam chose to break them!). Have fun with the daubers!

You and Cole have so many adventures together, it's fun to read about. SP's are so smart, they delight in making their humans happy.
