I Like Thursday # 480 Gobble Gobble!

happy Thanksgiving and welcome to this week's list of likes

I've been less than well, too much to go into here, but a lot is from the gas pipe work here

so on with the short show of mostly photos

some neighbors have gone big to decorate this year
uh oh! Turkey down! (and a bit flashing too)

Christmas plans by zodiac sign.... short but funny!!!

I loved the color of these tree berries this week

I LOVE animals  first up a sweet dog and a wonderful owner

Chewy... small but mighty. She barked away all big dogs wanting a sniff. Her owner is charming, Joe remembers our names, and reminds me of his by a litany of Joe, Jo Jo, Joseph, Joey and others. Chewy was B O R E D with the blah blah and pulled to get his dad to get walking!

next up these puppies are getting big. It's been a week since we visited, and they had forgotten me...

don't remember their names but Boy, and girl, boy barks girl wags and asks for pets! They are spectacular pups

last the donkeys and horse were out this week

the little black donkey had just walked right under the horse like it was a tunnel

Love you miss!!!
LOVE this cloud formation!

Hot and cool and hot and cold and hot   weird for November in the Colorado front range
Hmm not donkeys.... beginning to look like Christmas

beautiful straglers, hold on y'all!

one picked up on the walk

finished my beautiful pumpkin quilt this week pics and story Saturday
Opened the greatest gift of scraps and flamingo patterns from my friend Pat in NY... I'll share photos of the beauties Sat too, so grateful...

our conversation starter this week

would you rather go to someone's house for Thanksgiving (even a relative?) or host them in yours?

I LOVE going to someone else's house for Thanksgiving and have had a grand time having them to mine too. I think it's so nice, so sharing, to sit at their table for a celebration of friendship however most people don't want to have anyone but their families... sad for me but there you go!

>  painted my nails with Ballet Shoes pink this week...

>  changed out closet for winter and love cozy sweaters

> Loved the finale of Dancing with the Stars

YES!!! cool way to wrap something to tuck a card into

The flashing turkey made me laugh out loud! Thanksgiving is at our house this year and I haven't cooked a turkey in ten years but the best part is that it will be spent with Missy and Tommy and Duke and that's a good thing. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your hubby, LeeAnna!

Happy Thanksgiving! Love seeing your finds around the neighborhood - they're always fun. And the animals - aren't they so soothing to the heart and mind? Have a lovely day!

Love the turkey who identifies as a peacock. I hope you didn''t already have all those flamingo patterns.
Happy Thanksgiving (even if it's almost over).

I used to enjoy hosting family gatherings but in recent years (at least since our boys moved away) we haven't bothered and I've grown to love it just being the two of us.

Autumn looks lovely in your neck of the plains. Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving.

Hope you can get relief from the illness, and begin to feel better again soon. Got a kick out of the flashing turkey! LOL I've enjoyed both hosting and being a guest. As I've gotten older I appreciate that guest role more and more. Our younger daughter and hubby love to host Thanksgiving now and I've been happy to hand it over. I do miss the big extended family Thanksgivings we hosted with aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. 40 plus people was normal and loud and so much fun. Everyone brought something, and the day involved playing cards and lots of laughter.

I like hosting Thanksgiving and had around 15 guests yesterday. Another family member hosts Christmas, so I get a break then :) Thank you for linking up.

You always find the neatest things in your neighbourhood to share. I'm surprised there are as many items for outside decorations here too what with the wind and snow we get. I love to host these dinner events as both daughers lead busy lives so it gives them a break.

I hope your Thanksgiving was wonderful. We went to friends and it was so nice! I like hosting but this year wasn't playing out. It could not have been better. Onward to December!

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. We had family the weekend before to celebrate brothers and birthdays...my husband turned 80! Thus, Thanksgiving was quiet. I missed the food, but not the work...next year maybe I will cook again! Now onto Christmas...feels so fast this year.
