welcome to this week's list of likes... very short because I have to write this before I go for PT, it hurts to sit at the computer for more than a few minutes. I like my provider but hurt more for 4 days after.
So... I'm doing a quick post working ahead.
I like picket fence look in our neighborhood. They are plastic, all the same, and flimsy but I love the look of them.
We had a few days of cooler weather and the cloud show was wonderful... In person it's inspirational for paintingI like my small stand by machine, without bells or whistles, that is a mechanical sewing machine with a fine straight stitch. Every seam takes longer as the inner area is small and it's an awkward space under the needle but... I do like it and like using it. I love that this week I packed up my beloved Bernina, and figured out a way to fit this baby into the space so I could make my block for the month. More on Saturday I hope.
I'm going to be doing an Alice in Wonderland painting, from a workshop that's now over. I learned a bit about developing characters, how to paint wild oversized flowers, how to trace elements of a face, then develop it as a unique character. The ones above were just an exercise to get your mind working.Another lesson in the painting workshop |
Hiya... nothing new around here and Mama is in a tizzy to finish. I like my walks and good treats, I like cold weather but it's not happening here again. I do not like scary things like...
blowing plastic bags outside, scary halloween decorations, dogs that run at me barking, getting my ears cleaned, fireworks, or the dragon in our house (the vacuum) I go find Mama when the dragon comes out, since Dad pushes it around.
I do have slightly more respect for him because he can control it.
now please visit these nice peeps to see what they think this week about scary things

I love your alice art... it is good to give the characters the face we have in our mind... it is our story then a little bit...
A haunted B&B? Very cool! I don't think I've ever stayed in a haunted place.
Milo and Banksy could be pals. There is a huge scary witch in our neighbourhood. We can't walk that way until it comes down.
Not many Halloween decorations here, probably because of the hurricane and people not feeling festive. I like your art! Milo, steer clear of the dragon pal. Thanks for joining Angel Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
I like white picket fences too! And our sky’s have been gorgeous lately. Hope your PT visits start to make you feel better soon. It’s definitely a struggle!
My daughter was and is a scary movie fan. Not the rest of us!
Such fun character faces you've been painting!! Hope that PT starts to help. I do NOT do scary movies!! Or haunted houses. But I do love dressing up for Halloween.
Those are definitely gorgeous clouds in your sky photo! Love seeing your art, too - the Alice in Wonderland project sounds fun. So glad you have a back up sewing machine - we all need our sewing therapy!
I like the look of the white fences too. Reminds me of Mayberry. Glad you found a work around with your sewing machine. We've had several mornings of frost and one morning below freezing temps, but am happy warmer weather has returned...at least for a bit. When it was cold we had ugly gray sky's nothing interesting like your cloud picture.
I don't like scary movies, or haunted houses.

A ghost in the B&B - eek! Pretty picket fence, even if it is plastic. As timid as the guinea pigs may be, they seem to be fine with the vacuum cleaner. Who would have guessed?
I love seeing your art work. I hope the PT is helping and you're back to normal soon.
Great photo of the luminous cloud over your house aloha to Milo!
Oh Milo - our late Mr T loved the dragon. It took all his loose fur away and pulled nice fresh air through his fur on hot days. (I admit we were surprised he lijed it but it was his idea; he came and asked to be vacuum cleaned!)
I love your artwork. I can do scary films but not at bedtime.
Big hugs to you and Milo,
Annie s
Fabulous post. I love all of the faces. and the cloud photo is very nice for sure. Thank you for sharing FFO.
Spooky joke and so much more fun. Luv it.
Thanks for linking to Art For Fun Friday
Much♡love
Sorry to be late visiting. It was a rough day. I can empathize,. but I have no PT like you have.
I like the picket fence. I do NOT like scary movies or stories. Have a super rest of the weekend, dear LeeAnna.
What fun faces and other things you painted! paint on !!
Glad you have a back up machine. it should keep you piecing scraps just fine.
The only Halloween i do is the pumpkin ceramic i made back in 1976 that likes those votive candles. his name is Punky. might send you a photo. don't worry he is not scary at all. more like quirky.
Sorry I'm late this week, busy cleaning the house yesterday ready to go out today as it was Craft Club day but here now. Your Milo is a very thinking dog, he knows what he likes and doesn't like. Love your Alice paintings they have real character. Hope your weekend is a happy one. Hugs Angela xXx
I like your art. I think you are quite talented with all of your creative arts. I love Halloween, but am not much for a scary movie. Maybe weird, but not too scary. lol I'm not much on a haunted house either. Maybe I just like fall and the decor! Anyway, thanks for linking up.
My 1970's vintage Brother sewing machine also doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles but it's a good machine and I love that it's not plastic like the new ones being made. Halloween is my second least favorite holiday after July 4th. The constant doorbell ringing drives the dogs crazy and Wilson wants to inspect every visitor at the door. He's super friendly but no doubt intimidates little kiddos with his size and big bark. ;) Nice artwork this week. Well done.
