A Pair of Purple Flamingos

The color of the month over at so scrappy  is purple! I love purple! Easy peasy... purple cows, purple cups and saucers, purple flamingos....
I paper pieced them from the scrap bins, fussy little tiny shards of fabric! Something from nothing, something beautiful from a scrap another person might have thrown away!
cute little fabrics. I inked in the beaks and eyes.
and here they are with their pink friends. How expected. Pink flamingos! Really!
When you've looked around here, please enjoy the other color purple blocks over at superscrappy RSC2015  on Saturday's link party! Also enjoy other paper pieced blocks at quiltartdesigns party Friday

Your paper piecing is turning out some brilliant stuff at the moment. Teapots and flamingos - what more could you want.

they are very cute! I don't have the patience for paper piecing - well done to you!

You flamingoes are too cute!!! Whatever Laura said - I am such a wham bam quilt kinda gal that paper piecing seems too tedious to me. And then I see the outcome - Spectacular!!!

Were they eating grape-flavored shrimp? :) They look great!

LA Paylor said...

What a fun surprise these guys are in purple! I love how paper-piecing uses up scraps that would likely be too small for a typical pieced project.

Are they cute in purple! I have made that pattern but can't remember where I got it. It was a free pattern on line somewhere.

this one is from Sew precise by shirley liby, a cd about 25 dollars if I remember right.

The pattern is Sew Precise. It's software and you size it for your needs.

I plan to do flamingos in all colors for the color challenge this year at so scrappy.
