what? Thursday again? welcome to this week's list of likes starting with a metal sculpture I bought at a craft show in Maryland. I love the cutlery as rays! the spoon on it's side for a mouth!
I like that artists see the world in unique ways, and are driven to interpret it
The lilacs have bloomed on our bush

Book Love
audio one of the funniest cleverest books in a long time. I laugh OUT LOUD over and over
a sample phrase... a man looking at an apt to rent, sees an old kitchen and thinks ' that kitchen knows the difference between Red Skelton and Red Buttons'
Ebook a very clever period novel reminds me of Bridgerton a bit, VERY well written
a sample phrase, in a time more formal, a man and woman are drawn to each other, "he reached out a hand toward me over the small table, and I put mine in it because if felt natural to do so'
it is also very funny, and hard not to laugh at night while reading, so as not to wake dh

new to me fruit yogurt, heard of bilberry? me either |
good consistency, not very sweet, top with granola
sounds good to me! and cute but not on a skewerConversation Starter this week, the merry merry month of May
National Salad Month – What are your favorite kinds of salads? Does Fruit Salad count as a salad? How about Tuna Salad or Chicken Salad?
I love salads from a simple wedge of iceberg with dressing to a large elaborate dinner salad with chopped veggies, olives, tuna salad, and croutons!
Dressing is important. I always like Thousand Island best but also like a good vinaigrette, poppyseed, many Amy's brand, or simple balsamic.
Curried chicken salad, potato salad, 3 bean salad, jello salad, citrus salad and waldorf salads are all good in my book
what about you? do you have a good recipe for dressing? share with me!

aaah the lilac... it is a a kind of sweet time when we have this scent around us...
I got to stick my nose in a Lilac on Tuesday - HEAVEN! I've never made rugalach before but I do like it!
I love that cutlery sculpture too! So clever!
I recently discovered that Icelandic yogurt too! And I love garden art and shadows.
Lilacs are just beginning to bloom around here. I love their colors, but alas I think I’m allergic . My eyes burn. I sneeze over and over! So I admire from afar. The video about the bread crusts is a good idea. I might dip in egg and fry like French toast. Small toothpick to hold together at the beginning! There are so many good bottled dressings, that I don’t usually make my own. I’m a lazy cook!
Surprise LeeAnna, it's me! :D I like books that make me belly laugh too. I'm rereading the first Outlander book as we watch the first season again. We had forgotten so much! The frozen yogurt sounds delicious. LOL on the crust lollipops! I always eat the crusts, but I might save them for this.
Your kindness inspired me to do a post today, so thank you my friend.
I forgot the mention, the photo (or any photo) of rugalach makes me think of when my Granny used to take pieces of pie crust leftover from her pies and make little "cinnamon rolls" with them with cinnamon and sugar. So delicious!
Rugalatch!
Your sun made of cutlery is awesome! I love garden art. Books thar make you laugh out loud are so fun - I was doing that recently with a book and had to look up and see who might be around, lol! And potato salad is a favorite for me - I forgot about that when writing my post. Yum!
I love a good lilac. It has one of the best fragrances. My garden only grows because I had to buy some topsoil (years ago) from a farmer. Hard red clay soil is the norm here and it is terrible to work with. Years ago I bought a few inexpensive raised beds and my husband built a me a couple more. Plus a little chicken litter and cow manure never hurt :) Thank you for linking up and have a great weekend.
I like that utensil art and the yogurt sounds good too!
Love that spoon and fork sun. Lots of green on our lilacs, but no flowers yet. Have to say I love that blog's URL. LOL
Your sun sculpture is adorable! Proves that an artist can find a use for pretty much everything.
About salads - potato salad for sure. I like jellied salads too and we have a recipe for a fresh tomato pasta salad that I look forward to every fall.
I really love the look and the smell of lilacs. We had them at our previous house, but I haven't seen any lilacs in this neighborhood at all. Hmm - salad? I really like potato salad and a nice crisp lettuce salad. At holidays I make what we call "cookie salad", although it is actually more of a dessert - fudge striped cookies broken up with mandarin oranges, in a pudding/buttermilk/Cool Whip base. One of my students made this for his demonstration speech about 30 years ago. It was so good I asked for the recipe. We still all like it.
Our lilac is just coming into bloom too 😀 I love a chicken or prawn salad 🥰
Hugs,
Annie x
I like the sculpture from MD - very clever! I love any salad that someone else makes...mine are boring unless I follow a recipe...maybe a goal for this month..a new salad each week.
