my fabric cutting tablescape |
time to remember the little things we liked about this week... for me the shamrock out of fabric I made for a challenge to use our birthstone color, mine is emerald and I like the emerald ring dh bought me.
( I showed whole photos of the shamrock on Sat's post )
what's this? can you guess?answer, the sun peeped around a plant and hit the back hallway. I noticed during lunch one day
still happy to be learning French
En Francaise : Je suis reconnaissant (I am grateful) although it's testing my memory and recall
ps if you're studying another language, youtube has videos of stories read in other languages to help you learn.
they looked great |
tried a new to me recipe for sour cream orange blueberry muffins
they have NO flavor of either orange (despite OJ plus zest) or blueberries so is it frozen blueberries?
still good for breakfast with a bit of cream cheese! |
DH got me four pairs of Alpaca wool socks to help my toes heal from reynauds complications. I love how loose they are, their warmth, and antimicrobial nature.
STILL laughing... if Americans spoke like the French....
inspirational
I was able to read some blog posts this week, and ran across this totally lovely way to make "note" of the good things in life by Melva. I might have to do it too. Ordinary blessings jar.

New Free workshop on creatiuvity and healing (online)
I signed up for this but don't know much about it. Presentations on topics I feel are important, starts in March goes on a week I think
Our Prompt: do you compliment your mate/partner and does he compliment you? What kind of compliment feels best to you, and to him?
We were approved to adopt a puppy mill rescue, so now we wait for the right dog and the right time for me physically to handle the housetraining, and well general training, I did see a wheaten on their site, 8 years old, so sweet.
one day.
I am grieving Milo still, more than ever. I hug his shark toy every night before bed
now please visit these fine folk to see what they liked this week

That "talking like French" videp is HILARIOUS! I watched it twice!
I hope the right time and the right dog come together for you. Compliments - I never hear any from my husband. He just doesn't ever make compliments or apologies. I'm not sure he grew up with either of those things in his environment. It never used to bother me, but lately it has.
That's a fun photo of the "bunny ears!" We have that happen, too - "what am I looking at?" Your muffins look yummy - I'm surprised that they didn't have much flavor. I hope you feel able to adopt a new dog someday soon - that will be one lucky little guy to get to come and live at your house!
C'est Bon!
Talking like the French was very funny. I've been doing a version of the memory jar for a few years now - I very much enjoy going back over the events of the year in December. :-)
Your sour cream orange blueberry muffins look delicious. You will know when the time is right to get a pup.
That ring sure is pretty! Oh my, muffins are so good and that looks fabulous. Thanks for joining Angel Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
I must admit I had to look twice at that first picture because I thought you had a massively large set of rulers (in scale with the chair that I thought was full-sized). THAT made me smile!
Love the blessings jar idea because we all need to take more notice of the good things in our lives.
And yes, I compliment my RC and tell him every meal he makes is good. I'm sure he gets tired of hearing it!
I missed the post that siad you had lost Milo. I am so sorry. I know what a hole they can leave. I do hope you find a suitable puppy soon. It won't be a replacement but hopefully it will become a loved famitly member.
I smiled at the muffins. I have often been disappointed when a recipe doesn't live up to its promises.
Your emerald ring is beautiful. My birthstone is opal and I have a lovely ring with one in, but sadly I had to have it cut off when I had a hand operation, and I can no longer wear it.
The plant shadow is fun. Kate x
I am happy that there is a plant shadow on the wall again after the winter months. It shows that spring is around the corner. All the best, Regula
I used to love spoken French at school but not written. I enjoy ‘having a go’ whilst on holiday even if it’s not perfect…I think they like you to make an effort. I’m pleased you’ve put your name down for another dog…I know the difference our little Peggy has made to our lives and just how much she’s helped with the healing of losing our Milly.
Hugs,
Annie x
Maybe try a little finely grated orange zest in the muffin recipe. You are courageous and kind to take a puppy mill rescue- I hope you get years of love from you new family member when she arrives. I like the daily gratitude idea and I know someone to share it with.
What a beautiful shamrock! Your husband has fantastic taste in jewelry! What an eerie photo – glad you could catch a once in a lifetime opportunity. How sweet of your husband to gift you those socks. Pain and illness are challenging. Oh, LeeAnna, I still have a memory shelf for Mia. My throat chokes up when I see the beautiful painting you made. Poor Chloe, she looks just like Mia. We sometimes call her Mia. She is becoming so loving. Hugs to you.
The talking like French is hilarious! You will know when to get another dog. It is very hard to lose one and I am so sorry you had to go through that in such a shocking way. I appreciate you taking the time to link up.
I got some frozen blueberries, very little taste. Better to freeze your own, I think. I am so glad to hear about the approval for a dog...it would be so lucky to live with you and your husband. My husband does compliment me and I, him, We are both pretty good at that...and it feels good.
I hope you get the perfect dog! My experience with any terrier has not been the best. My DIL reminded me that the root of that word is terror. That seems appropriate for the ones that I have watched. Never again!
