I Like Thursday # 485 and a new year

ahhhhh new year, new week, new list of likes! Starting with some beautiful dried grasses and blue sky

I have a few likes &  a few images to share so let's get going!

I do have a short list of things I want to do this year, but let's start with a comic

morning coffee in my fave Mary Engelbreit mug. Plus as my friend Cindy said, hydrate before you caffeinate so my pretty glass of water

high chairs

how fast must they have been running to throw an insole!!!LOL

no need for a fire, the hot temps (78 F in Jan, in Denver will have the same affect)

We watched the Madam Blanc  holiday special and it was as charming as ever (we've seen all the episodes available to us)

We've been cooking and baking... tried chicken enchiladas for the first time

boil boneless chicken thighs, then shred meat, layer whole wheat tortillas in pan, Mexican cheese grated, enchilada green sauce. Repeat layers three times then bake til bubbly.

We made zucchini bites again, Grate three small zucchini, let rest in a colander with some salt and squeeze water out. Mix with  1 cup of cheese (pepper jack for us) chives, two eggs (whites only for us) spices like garlic and onion powder, spoon into mini muffin tin (24) and bake about 35 min at 350F

SO good even leftover as a snack or side

trying to walk twice a day... snow is still on the tallest peaks but melted in the foothills

Moon is almost full... don't get tangled up in these trees or life

new bathroom rug is plush and was on sale at Khols
amazing how one new thing lifts your spirits

I want to talk to friends more often this year, want to chat?

I would like to sift through my quilting books and let some go to a new home

I want to use my supplies to make things that are pretty and fun to make

Finished this table runner
would like to resume painting and drawing this year , write more, try more crafts, you know....

I am planning to start a craft/art link party this year, I'll provide prompts but still trying to figure out whether to do it once a month or more often. You can do any craft based on the prompts and more details to come maybe in a month or so, as I hope to do two sewalongs starting in Jan.

Oh LeeAnna I loved all of the pretty photos in your post. I’m going to try to do the SAHRR and some Project Quilting as well. I’ve even got my I like post done this week! How’s that for a new year beginning? Happy New Year and I’ll look forward to the new link up. 🤗 Carol

Happy New Year, may it be a great one for all of us! Your craft/art link party plans intrigue me!

My resolve this year is what it's been for awhile now - to use up 'stuff' I have lurking in my sewing room and not buy any more unless absolutely necessary to complete a project. I did the release of quilting books/magazines after I got all the Christmas projects done and two big bags went to our local Friends of the Library group. Do my shelves look emptier? Why no....

Brrr! It's cold here (8 degrees at 7 AM today) and we had about 4" of new snow yesterday. But the sun is shining right now, not that any snow is melting since it's still in the teens. I hope to use more stash and finish more UFO's in 2026. Lots of non-quilty stuff needs doing as well.

Happy New Year! Always fun to see your likes - the snowman rug is adorable. And now you have me craving chicken enchiladas! That is a pretty runner with all the Christmas-y strips.

I am planning on participating in Project Quilting and Stay At Home Round Robin also. I need to decide on my center block. I know it’s been warmer than you like in your part of CO this year, but it does make 2 a day walks more doable. Keep walking…….I hope\ to start tomorrow. Maybe not twice, but at least once a day.

I definitely believe that home is where the heart is. Ugh, I definitely need to walk more. More importantly, need to learn how to de-stress! Happy new year!

A very happy new year to you and the hubby! I love seeing your art, definitely believe you have talent, so that's a great goal for the new year. And it's great you are walking twice a day. I say to Tony, keep moving so you can keep moving.

Happy New Year! I'm so glad you get out for walks and share the things you see. I just can't seem to make myself get back into walking mode. We're warmer than normal and dry, dry, dry again.

You have a great eye. I love the dried grass picture, as well as the landscape shot. Happy Little Things Thursday and New Year too!

Such pretty photos! I am not big on walking in the winter, contemplating a walking pad - some use under a desk but I don't think I can set up that way. My only plans are a blog hop in January and then the SAHRR....I might try project quiliting but with SAHRR it is probably to much...but maybe I will use it to inspire my scrap bags that I want to use up!

Such gorgeous pictures this week. The weather has been pretty wacky here in New Mexico too!
