who knew? Kitchen hacks short video
I like conversation so this is our convo starter this week
where do you do your computer work, or blogging? For example at the
kitchen table like me or on your lap in front of the tv? at an actual
desk? Do you use a larger computer or do it from your phone or ipad? show us a
pic if you can, of your set up for blogging.
I write posts from the kitchen table here. I have a laptop, can't figure out how to use my ipad. I keep a place for morning coffee, and water here, have a new rolling chair (I have shorter legs so need to adjust) my sketch books and art supplies are always outI like things in sight to use, and keep more supplies behind me on the kitchen desk.
Back in the day, I kept things in organizers on my desk top, along with pics from good times, and knew were everything was. Those days we had to take longhand notes on home visits, so pens were very important. I had a secretary to type up official forms I'd written for court/judges, I wrote them longhand and she not only read them but corrected my misspellings!
I need organization, I get flustered with too much visual clutter now. I feel better when I clear off the piles.
we are the "pilot" family, pile it here, pile it there, and eventually I put everything away or back in it's container.
I write on this laptop and am quite a fast typist thank you to the summer class in typing during high school.
I am not technical so I don't store more than I have to on the computer. Therefore papers are a big challenge to keep organized.
Please visit these people to see what they liked this week and join us with your everyday likes, let me know if you write a post for me to includeyou'll often find paint and brushes on my desk area |
I've loved painting with gouache (opaque watercolor) paint lately... art journal entry

Farewell to Pope Francis, who believed and worked toward biblical directives to be a good steward for the earth (environment and all creatures) and to accept diversity, and care for all humans.

The trees in bloom are just gorgeous! I have a desktop computer and it does sit on a desk in my living room.
I'm watching Wolf Hall too. Things are looking pretty dire for Cromwell right now. I blog from a large desktop computer set up on a computer table in its own dedicated space. I keep my workspace relatively neat. Thsoe kitchen hacks are pretty cool, aren't they!
It just might be spring here too. This morning it is raining instead of snowing. We are a “pilot” family too. Though I’m making an effort to “put away” instead of “put down”. Old habits are hard to break.
I love your journal page. What is it about the gouache that you like so much?
'Pilot' made me laugh!
We love Murdoch Mysteries but sadly we missed a couple of the latest seasons due to thinking we'd be able to get them on our streaming service and binge watch them and then finding out, too late, that they've moved to another service.
My computer (I don't have a laptop) is set up in my sewing room - a room that also serves as a spare bedroom should the need arise.
I have those "pilot" tendencies too. My husband is one of those people who leaves everything right where he last used it. Grrrr! I use a laptop on my desk in our home office most of the time for blogging. But occasionally I use my iPad or iPhone for blogging. I am a tech nerd, but one who loves a paper trail too.
Amen.
I like a real desk with a large computer screen, I use my laptop in a docking station basically. The only time I use it as a laptop is when traveling, but even then I sit at a table. I don't find working from once lap comfortable or good for the back.
Sandy's Space
I love your journal pages. I'd very much like to flip through and see them all.
We love Brokenwood - we'll have to switch back to Acorn so we can watch the new season. Fun to see your work station at the kitchen table. I actually have a desk which I used all through my teaching career, but now I just sit in my comfy chair to do retirement "work!" I love that quote from the pope.
Love the quote.

We caught Brokenwood last night. Yay! I usually blog on my laptop on the loveseat in front of the TV. :-)
The sky sure does look pretty. Happy TV watching!!! We don't watch that much on the TV these days. Thanks for joining Angel Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
I like your companionable work area
Your journal page is gorgeous.
We have lots of flowers coming into bloom every day at the mo….its my favourite time of the year. I like to keep clear and organised….i have a place for everything and like things to be put back where they live and really hate to waste time searching for things.
Hugs,

I blog from my desk, 90% of the time. The ipad is not the same as the mac so it makes some things harder. Someday it will feel more like the same. I have a laptop, but it is smaller and harder on the eyes...so my desk with my imac is the preference. I am a piler too, and struggle to find places for everything but spring cleaning helps!
The Pope's funeral was today. My daughter-in-law (in Italy) sent me a message at 8 in the morning that they were all in front of the tv to watch it live.
I have a Macbook laptop and I usually write my blogs sat on the sofa, or sometimes at the table. But when I sit at the table the cat usually jumps on the keyboard. Strangely enough he doesn't do this on the couch.
Enjoy your weekend,
Lisca
I have an office upstairs with a desktop computer. Though, I often work on my laptop on the kitchen island. No snow for Kentucky. I put out some plants and flowers today. Thank you for linking up.
I LOVE Brokenwood-the chief is a favorite and the characters are so interesting! This is such a lovely time of year with flowering trees. Happy Spring!
You need to make a mug organizer. I have a free pattern. I'm sure ou could make a colorful one.
I've enJOYed your site for several years now.
