I Like Thursday # 476 colors, candy, donkeys and poodles

welcome to this week's list of likes, short as I am having a lot of physical pain, forgive me, Hopefully I'll return to normal soon,,,,

love the light on this tree, found in the nature preserve near us

lovely morning sun on red leaves

red peppers still growing in the community gardens

duck shape from random junk on the sidewalks...

duck Frankenstein display on neighbor's house

close up of my mantel display

poodles chasing a skeleton
we visited 3 grown mini poodles plus 2 puppies this weekend, that display was at their house
we want an older dog but they all pulled at my heartstrings, Here's the puppie's Mom held by her hooman
the pup is another "blue" and is 14 weeks, my back hurt bending to interact with them all, and as it turned out he costs $4000.00 which is a lot for us in this damn economy, so..... for several reasons it may not work for us
My husband said I'm trying to make it work by ignoring the issues, so I have to think some more.

The weather went from hot to deep freeze over night but is headed back to 80's by Sunday, in NOV in CO.

yep, short video, respect the strength of older women

almost finished with this large quilt as you go hexi.... my body broke down again

taking the making zen stitch workshop this week, but can't sit or concentrate because of the back/headaches.

pretty moonscape seen on our way home from an evening walk

more donkeys with long shadow legs
my hand is shading the lens

artsy sun drenched shot

prompt:

will you hand out candy this year? what kind? Will you wear a costume or something funny like cat ears or tiara or face mask?
I Used to dress up but we no longer hand out candy. The kids here come til after10 pm dragging full pillowcases. I kept some tiara's and cat ears but not this year.
the kids have already done trunk or treat at the school, they have so much candy already

Time changes this weekend

We don't get trick or treaters at our house. Our street is too dark and narrow and the houses are farther apart. Wow - I paid half that amount for Duke almost 2 years ago. I can remember when I first got married a dog with papers was $350!

I hope you feel better soon! I also hope you find a decent poodle that will fit your lifestyle. We got ours at the pound. Sending hugs!

I hope the pain and headaches subside quickly so you can enjoy the workshop this weekend. Love the poodles chasing the skelly! And that video? Hahahahahaha! I'm going to send it to my sister. Too true!

Our trick-or-treat hours are 6-9pm. We will pass out candy during that time only or until we run out. The kids here respect the unspoken rule that is -- if the porchlight is off, there's no candy.

I'm so sorry. your body is causing you such pain. That puppy sure is cute but there's no way I would pay $4000 for a dog either
