for project quilting 2026 last challenge, make something that fits in your hand, I made this bowl
I used this tutorial on epp technique, used a different color for each pentagon, times 12.
https://www.mollyandmama.com.au/tutorials-2/
| inside of finished bowl |
| bottom of finished bowl |
first I finished each side by hand sewing a whip stitch with thick perle cotton, then....
I folded each sewn pair down at the point, and hand stitched 4 french knots to hold the point down, then sewed a paper glitter flower to the pointhere is the outside bits, one at a time,
it's a great size to hold hand sewing supplies on the coffee table, sparkles and I love it.
try the free tutorial, let me know if it was fun for you too

i really like that little hand held bowl of fabrics. a perfect rainy day project for those of us with lots of fabric bits and bobs.
How pretty and it's perfect for dyed Easter eggs!
Such a cute little bowl. The hand stitching and flowers make it just perfect.
Cool bowl! I've never seen a fabric one before. When I was young, people often crafted them out of the illustrations on greeting cards, all attached to each other by blanket stitch in wool. If memory serves, the cardstock was usually laminated for extra solidity.
Must be something in the air because I made that exact same bowl this week too!
Lovely
Incredibly cute, your fabric bowls
Happy Friday
Much love
OMGosh this is brilliant! So clever and beautiful.
2 of those fitted together (top to top) and stuffed make a lovely squishy ball.
I like the way you finished the outside with the flowers of different colors. Perfect project for the last PQ challenge 😀
Pretty cool looking! Fun project.
What a great solution to the challenge AND you reclaimed a UFO to finish. What a huge win!!!!
Your bowl is spectacular - so pretty!
