creative pursuits this week fun sewing ahead!!

I haven't actually finished anything but I did pack away Fall scraps and fabrics, and got out the bag of Christmas scraps to hopefully make a few tree skirts this year...

I emptied out the bag and sorted the pieces into shapes and sort of sizes

I collected some google images into a page of tree skirt ideas (see on the bottom right) but will mainly go on what scraps I have probably. Already starting with matching squares into 4-patches there

some strips, some wide, some narrow and long

two needle books to be finished off
squares, and a stack of HST shapes to turn into geese

two littles put out for the season...
Betty boop as a snow globe, and Santa after the holidays with sunburnt knees, in the tropics drinking a mai tai
a worthy sentiment to balance all the gooey sweetness of the season

Lots of fun scraps to play with. Love your small finished quilts, especially Betty Boop as a snow globe, and Santa's sunburnt knees! So cute.

Love the colorful Christmas scraps you have. I think some are the same as I used years ago to make some Christmas Quilts for family. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Some great xmas scraps there. I used to have a colleague who made copious xmas themed sewn art and passed many of her off-cuts to me; none as exciting as your scraps.
