i like thursday # 527 what comfort food will you make

welcome to this weeks likes starting with the color of this rose against the rocks

a lovely semi sweet red

a pretty sky

we got gentle rain that led to cooler temps here! yea!

but just because life is like this, they are repaving our roads (with tar that gives me nosebleeds) and I had another worse fall. No broken hip or pelvis but probably torn muscles and ligaments so walks must be curtailed.

meaning poor alfie won't get to hang out with chewy for a while

our prompt this week is :  What is a comfort food you love to cook or bake as the weather gets colder?

cinnamon rolls! anything in the oven waits for this kind of cool weather plus soups

on TV  survivor and amazing race on tonight

my therapist said I must paint something this week and gave me the name of a local senior center

Sorry to hear of your fall, that sucks! I hope things heal quickly.

I'm so sorry to hear you fell. Hope you heal relatively quickly. Pulled tendons sometimes seem to take forever. My go-to comfort food must be roasted turkey followed by turkey soup. I saw we were going to cool down (cold down!) and immediately pulled out a frozen turkey. Next up will be turkey chili with black beans and plenty of cheese. I'll bring dinner if you share your cinnamon rolls! Lol! Seriously, take care of yourself & Alfie.

So sorry to hear about your fall. Hope you heal quickly. My cold weather comfort food to make - meatloaf. I use oatmeal instead of bread crumbs in mine, so it's gluten free and less mushy. My husband likes it when I make chicken and dumplings. I made it last week.

Ooh, cinnamon rolls sound heavenly! What a beautiful view you have there. Love the yellow rose, too. Hope you and Alfie are back on your walks again soon!
