the scrap color of the month at RSC is yellow. I do love yellow although the only shade I can wear is saturated lemon yellow almost gold.
the patterns are a pure challenge but I envision a small summer travel wardrobe and since I was a teen in the 70's, these styles remind me of the sundresses I made to wear all the time... next week I will share some cute embroidered jeans and halter tops too...

I got a pencil set, thinking they were just graphite, but turns out they are water soluble, so I tried them on a scrap of paper
just a woman from my imagination, but she kind of looks familiar...
see you next week, God willing and the creek don't rise in our thunderstorms (not that we have a creek)

Love those little dresses, especially the yellow with the blue collar. I never wear yellow either because it makes my skin look green. My older daughter looks great in yellow however.
I keep thinking you've made these cute dresses before and then I rmemembered it was Kate from 'Life in Pieces' that made a quilt with paperpieced sundresses several years ago. I'm hoping for relief for you soon, both weatherwise and physically.

Wow...I LOVE your dresses! So cool. And a terrific sketch. Stay cool (and dry). The rain seems to be trending more in the south part of the metro area. Only had a tiny and brief sprinkle yesterday, not even enough to cover the sidewalks. But boy did we love the cooler temps. It was 57 when Elsa and I went out for our morning walk yesterday. LOVE that and hope the trend continues. 🤞🏼

Ooo. It’s like a Barbie wardrobe. I had a Tressy instead but also enjoyed creating clothes for her.

Who needs Y seams? I'm with you, redraft the pattern to achieve the same/similar look and dump those pesky Y seams. You have a lovely summer wardrobe. The effects you achieved with the water soluble pencils is very impressive.
Those quilted dresses are great. I can't wait to see what you do with them LeeAnna.I especially love the 2 with the contrasting collars. I think it's time for me to get my sewing machine whirring again.There just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day for arty things lately. :) Have a super weekend. hugs-Erika

Your imagination is ever so creative ... love your patterns. I don't see women in sun dresses too often anymore .... hmmmm, maybe it is time to change that. I am a bluejean and t-shirt type so I am looking forward to next weeks post. I am not surprised your women looks familier as our imagination has only our personal experience to draw from. Cute little dresses, you did a great job redesigning them to avoid Y-seam. Lovely yellow ones, and I love the red dress with roses, gorgeous!
