Welcome to this week's Sewing Round up!
then tried to arrange them into a new to me configuration
about 21" X 50" |
Here it is quilted, and ready to use!
I would show you some of the other configurations but I'm afraid I liked one of them better (in hindsight which is 20/20)
I like the strong but interrupted vertical lines of scraps and the triangle lines that show up as well.
It was too narrow so I added in the center strip of precious hoarded leaf fabric...
I found a cute brown backing fabric in the stash, of coffee beans...
since it's almost 50" long I needed more fabric, so I inserted one I love...
the edge was covered by bringing the excess backing to the front and hand stitching it.
It looks very nice on our table bringing the colors of the outdoors in for the season

Love it! The perfect use for your KK leftovers, and that beloved leaf print coordinates beautifully. Well done!
Thanks for joining the Link Party with your latest runner, LeeAnna. LOVE that blast of autumn colors your October TABLE SCRAPS Challenge entry brought to your table!!
It looks wonderful on your table. I am so amazed at how those triangles still show up so well, but yet that vertical line is there too. Excellent job!
Hi LeeAnna,

Joanne
You are just a magician when it comes to makes beautiful quilts from scraps. Bravo!
Love that scrappy runner. I agree, it is perfect for the season. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap!
Love the center hoarded fabric, too. It is such a pleasure to look at all the lines.
Wow! Your table runner is great. And... did you really quilt each triangle separately? The quilting really makes the finished project so fabulous.
This is just luscious for autumn! It makes me really eager to see the Kaleidoscope quilt. (Or did you post it, and I missed it?)
I'm at it again...seeing a quilt that I would like to make. I'm going to keep these string triangles in mind for sure.
Those scraps from the kaleidoscope made a really nice runner
Lovely!
Very cute table runner! It looks like fall on your table. Thanks for sharing on Wednesday Wait Loss.
Beautiful table runner, lovely colors, and a lot of tiny pieces, I love it!
