Paint what you see? I see snow.
Paint what you feel? I need peace.
I need to watch paint blend, so paint...
Inspiration: (from wisdomquotes)
If you hear a voice within you say ‘you cannot paint,’ then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced. Vincent van Gogh

painting inside and out |
Spontaneous, unplanned, just water mixed with KOI paint, using a large flat square brush, white gel pen, black faber castell brush pen.
I realize it's not really art... but it's an expression of sorts. I share it here to show one might just make something for the moment of doing, not for posterity or to compete or to even share.
For me it's the act of getting out the supplies and using them. Thinking about how a trunk shows through branches, wondering if I can imply snow with child- like ink lines, imparting a message

check out this person new to me...
This is #19 in her card series!!! Yea! I have lots more to watch! She has an amazing array of toys I haven't seen to make her watercolor and ink cards. I want the finetec metallic paints, and whatever that glossy stuff was to make the heart look 3-d.
Now for tiny realistic winter cabin watercolors, I found this cool teacher
she says, "anybody can do this" so, we'll see.
When she splattered snow on the finished work, I squealed out loud. First of all she made drawing the little cabin so simple. I want to learn how to shadow snow... apparently I have nearly endless inspiration for it outside the window.

Beautiful card. Enjoy your painting.
Of course it's really art! And a wonderful combination!!
Next weekend I have a gift exchange with a group of friends, and was already planning to make simple watercolor bookmarks. I like the idea of creating A simple card as well!
Happy PPF!!
I felt more peaceful just seeing your lovely trees! I like your chop.
sweet watercolor paintings. If you come to my blog you will see that I did my first watercolor snowman based on one of Ellen-Crimi Trent's You Tube videos:) Happy PPF!
You always have fun with your creative pursuits. This is a good time of season to make cards so both you and the recipients will enjoy the results.
It's a good way of expressing and keeping us focused is watercolour painting. Fabulous when you find someone who can inspire and extend our love for it all. Beautiful work.
Happy PPF Tracey
Hi LeeAnna,
Art is in the eye of the beholder! Love these tree moments you create!
These are gorgeous!
So lovely. I could spend hours in the studio painting cards. If only the house would clean itself. Along with laundry and grocery shopping. 😆
Your cards are nice LeeAnna :) I try to paint what I see, but sometimes my "know it all" mind takes over - that's when my art doesn't feel too real to me. I love making Christmas cards with watercolour! I watch a lot of tutorials as well, it's fun to learn how to make beautiful art!! :)
I can tell you are having fun painting. Very nice cards.
Amazing Art. Love your work
