this is not how I planned to paint a poinsettia
but I sat down with my paints, inks, water and brushes and that's what came out this time...
We eat too much take out, but this was the top of my olive garden salad container, two little compartments that cried out to be used painting, one to keep clean, one to use for rinsing
that's it...
for now.... sewing tomorrow, more painting on fabric for next week!

Hi LeeAnna :) Your poinsettia is lovely! Oh and what a great idea about the take out container!!
Love your poinsettia.
Your poinsettia is just gorgeous!
I think your poinsettia is very pretty! The color is so perfect. Red poinsettias are so much prettier than the unicorn colors I saw yesterday at my local supermarket. Purple and turquoise just don't say "Christmas" to me.
wonderful painted poinsettia!!
That is a beautiful painting of the poinsettia...nice work
hugs, Julierose
Well that's just damn brilliant. I should have talked to you and Susie before I got my little cousin some art supplies for Christmas. Your painting turned out quite well I think and I like the inking. If you, Susie Mac and I got together I think I'd laugh so hard my teeth would fall out.
Very pretty. I love how it turned out.
beautiful poinsettia!! Happy PPF!
Pretty poinsettia
Hi LeeAnna,
It's fun how things just turn out!
You did a great job creating all those different shades of red!
hugs,
Joanne
You did a beautiful job on this Poinsettia.
very pretty painting
Beautifully painted Poinsettia!
Lovely painting.
The container is a score in my book. I bet I have something like that around here. I like your poinsettia rendering with the subtle shades of red. Very cool, LA!
Glad to see you're painting poinsettias. Is there anyone who doesn't appreciate their brilliance at this darkening time of year?
