I like Thursdays #149

Welcome to this week's list of likes. Sorry to be tardy! How about starting with a chenille flamingo tote from a quilt shop?
I liked painting, drawing, and sewing this week. I'll do a sewing post on Saturday, and a paint party post on Friday.

Here's a bouquet for you... from blobs of color and a fineline marker came this painting
I liked this little dog at the quilt expo... she anticipated blood sugar changes for her owner
small at 2 lbs but very talented and well dressed
Of course I'm partial to a certain 60 lb dog here. Milo is having a sip of water, al fresco, and we found out why his bowl is always tipped. He doesn't like his nose in it so he crooks his nose over the edge of the bowl to drink, giving him a funny look. He is so full of personality quirks!

I liked the little mug rugs from tiny scraps of R W&B fabrics. Now who to give them to???

I liked going to the bike parade in the neighborhood, and that Milo got to play with his 1 yo weim friend along the way
Milo says, even the queen likes to pet my hair!

"MY teeth are bigger"

whew it's so hot!
let's cool off in the grass for a minute!
loved this little boy's shirt... hope he improves the environment and cherishes living creatures
I hope these girls never stop rubbing my tummy
Now that's traveling in style. Milo likes just about every dog, including the ones the size of his nose
I liked the sack races
trying out a new deck
We ran into neighbors on our walk home, and ended up talking for over an hour, and visiting their porch. Their neighbors invited us to a party later that day, and we went! It was full of people, chat, and food, as well as seeing the fireworks from the city from their yard. It's good to know your neighbors.
We headed home, and waited out the rain and three hail storms before going to the last party of the evening at another neighbor's house. Not as friendly as the first group, we fulfilled an obligation to go and left after an hour. It was good to be home anyway to support Milo through the fireworks noise.
The next day DH took the day off to go to the Cherry Creek Art Festival together. More on that later since I interviewed three artists and want that to be it's own post. The above pic of cows was from an artist who only paints cows! My kinda art! He was fun to chat with. Stay tuned.

Please visit these fine folks keeping their own list of likes

Good Morning LeeAnna! A fun-filled post with lots of goodness in it. That flamingo bag is just perfect for you! All the 4th of July celebrations look like lots of fun, and meeting/making friends or being friendly with the neighbors is a very good thing. You just never know when you may need them, or they need you! Milo is just a love - I can totally understand why he doesn't want his nose in the bowl while drinking. Sweet boy! ~smile~ Roseanne

What a fun selection of likes! I love seeing Milo playing with everyone and the cute (tiny!) dogs you met along the way. I'm so glad you found a friendly group of neighbors, that makes things so much more fun! I thought about taking Blue to the parade this past week, there were lots of other dogs, but even though he's doing very much better, I think it still would have stressed him out too much.

Love that bouquet! Such pretty little flurries. That flamingo bag is begging to be touched. Is that a little sailor boy in the mug rug? adorable. Wow- I've never had such a fun neighborly group as you have. Ours is not.
Enjoy your weekend! mary

Lots of dogs in your neighborhood. Yay! We don't know our neighbors here as well as we did in our previous town, but I think it's because we are empty nesters, and our neighbors mostly have kids at home. Very different generations I guess.

So much to see in your area. Imagine that little thing being able to tell if her owner got low blood sugars! And Milo not wanting a wet nose which we think they have anyway. You are on a roll with those pretty painted posies and the mug rugs. The cow paintings reminded me of the artist who only paints rocks in a certain area of a certain river canyon. Pretty interesting to see the formations through his eyes.

Your flamingo tote made me smile. So adorable. And Milo's bandana kerchief is very handsome. Did you make it? We're running away to Missouri's wine country for the weekend. Hope yours is wonderful. xoxo

That's a cool tote. I like the added oomph the chenille fabric makes. I have an old pink chenille bedspread, hmmm...
I like your cheery bouquet with all its pinks and oranges. I imagine it smelling delightful. I hope the boy with the t-shirt makes positive changes, too. The cow paintings look familiar somehow. Maybe it's because I see cows often and they look straightforward at humans, at least me, like the artist's renderings. Life is wonderful.

Cool Tote! I love the idea about the dog who anticipates sugar levels! Awesome! It sounds like Milo is an smart cookie, tipping his bowl like that! It seems like all three of you are social beings! I'm glad you got to enjoy at least one party! Take good care!
