We love this park in Syracuse on Lake Onondaga
There are two paved paths along the 5 mile stretch, one for pedestrians (we never saw that odd white man stepping on our path)
and one for wheeled vehicles including roller blades, bikes, surreys, strollers, and a weird circular bike that families can pedal together.
we saw wildlife
almost black squirrels, not gray like at home |
They did not care if we wanted by, they did not care about the giant poodle breathing down their necks.
We saw lots of trees...
This wasn't one of those stick on faces, this one was nature laughing at us.
Cole finally gave out. Too much fun for too many days. He planted it...
So we took turns walking the pedestrian path. One of us staying to wait with the poodle. Wait, watch, be still.
Cole was just trying to help - if you two humans were too foolish to stop and sit in the shade, it certainly wasn't his fault...
ReplyDeleteI saw a huge nursery of Canada goslings last year. They took over a park just like this. There were four or five females with them. Not sure if they were moms or nursemaids. Very interesting.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit to my blog! Cats do not like squeakers in mousies! lol
ReplyDeleteHow nice to be surrounded by such beauty and busyness on your walk!
that's a fabulous, place! I like that you have two paths there, that's much better for peeps&pets. The tree reminds me of a member of the Simpsons family lol
ReplyDeleteMy old stomping grounds! I lived in 'Cuse for 2+ yrs in grad school and returned there to work for another 5! I used to drive by the park regularly on the way to clients' homes
ReplyDeleteLOL I guess Cole decided it was break time.
ReplyDeleteAw, Cole is just guarding the walking path, very sweet boy. :)

What a pretty place to walk. I miss nice walking paths lined with trees and grass. Ah, Arizona...........
ReplyDeleteHow funny! He just planted there, even with so much beauty around him? Silly boy.
ReplyDeleteJean from Welcome to the Menagerie
Chloe the Smelly Basset does that too. She just throws herself down and refused to go further. And we know you can't move a stubborn basset!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a nice place to walk. LOL @ the white stick man! :-D
ReplyDeleteThe white stick man is so cool! We need some of those in the neighborhood:-)
ReplyDeleteThe tree face is really cool! I can tell you really enjoy living in the moment and taking everything in along the way. Your pictures are always interesting.
ReplyDeleteI do believe there are black squirrels in the world, I better go out and look for some! Black dogs and cats rock!
ReplyDeleteNice looking park there - but I am terrified of squirrels - of all colors!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great time in the park! Cole had so much fun, he pooped out! LOL
