Perfect Pink Scotty Pin Cushion!

While at the beach, all the shops had a sidewalk sale going on. I found new sandals, purple capris, and this...

A cute little antique Scotty dog flower holder in PINK that would be perfect for a pin cushion.
At $5 it's a bargain, and reminds me of my childhood.
What better thing to buy on a big birthday weekend??








I added a pin cushion made from a bright turqoise and pink fabric stuffed with wool batting scraps, tied with ribbon floss!
So cute, right? Just the right size.
My other ceramic pin cushions of poodles and a donkey which cost more than 5 buckaroos, will happily welcome Scotty into the collection! (Slightly obsessed with pin cushions especially these four)

    What a great find. That Scottie is so cute. Scotties have always been close to my heart. When I was born my parents had a Scottie named Bonnie. She wouldn't look at me, totally insulted that they brought another pup into the house. But they would find her sleeping under my crib when they weren't looking!

    My grandfather had a brass hound dog pipe stand. I sure wish I had that again!

      I know, whatever it was. I looked it up online, and it seems to have been a vase made in the 50's but it's small enough to be an egg cup.
      Imagine these days taking enough time to soft boil an egg and eat it out of the shell in a cup!! Times are different.

    What a great idea for a really cute pincushion. I have some small items from my childhood (I'm 73) and I think you have given me a clue as to how to use them in my sewing room. Thanks for this.
