Wall O' Stencils |
Some paints had dried up, and had to throw away half a jar of rubber paint. What a waste! The paint I currently love the best is SETA color shimmers for impact. I still like the Jacquard metallics, and for watercolor effects love SETA transparent. All are textile friendly and wash off with soap and water.
Next step here is to make into 6 inch blocks, quilt, embellish and then in November trade with friends.
I can tell you now, I will have trouble letting them go. Why do I get so attached to my work??

Because you do what you like and you do good work. The trees are delightful. Just back away from the one inch hexies, though; down that path lies insanity.

beautiful blocks! I get attached to my work too. I think it's because our work and creativity is an extension of ourselves. So, I always wonder whether someone else could possibly love something I've made as much as I do.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy you shared at Needle and Thread Thursday!

Looks like fun! I had to chuck some paint recently too. Bummer. And had 2 more lids break. Guess I need to use my paints more often! With you as inspiration, it might happen.
ReplyDeleteThose are wonderful! Especially grouped together like that. I hate it when paint gets dried up but that means I haven't been playing enough with them.
ReplyDeleteIt's good that you like your own work. It is lovely. It will be fun to exchange work, though. I love doing that with my artist friends.
ReplyDeleteI would have trouble letting them go too! They're beautiful! Thanks for linking up :)
