used to make this week's blocks on my round robin "glam-ingo" quilt |
there's something about old recipes... good luck reading the old paper!
we made a good breakfast the other day, with scrambled eggs, and turkey sausage
plus some nice salsa |
we did a lot of cooking last weekend and have enjoyed our labors all week, including collard greens, zucchini casserole (with lots of parmesan), oatmeal/chocolate chip/pecan cookies, and pumpkin/almond butter doggie cookies made with oat flour not wheat. We're hoping it helps Milo's ears. Made more oat/banana blondies too.
I enjoyed talking to my buddies on the phone this week... you kept me going
it's been a difficult week, not many likes. I've been sharing a love song and questions to get to know you better every day this week. Today's song is silly, but from a woman I like a lot
funny how annoying things are okay when you love someone...
and for old times sake...
I'm enjoying Big Brother celebrity edition this season... wow these
celebrities act like winning s life and death for them though. Of course
I still watch the other shows I've mentioned before, and lots of
youtube videos like
Milo's Moment
when Milo was a baby, and we drove cross country to look at homes in Colorado we stayed inn some hotels... and Milo had a good time one night while we unloaded the car...
he had on the shoulder brace he had to wear after surgery (a dog jumped on him in play and tore ligaments) for 4-5 months.... poor baby.... he was so small!
Mommmmmmm don't show baby pictures!
please visit these folks to see their likes this week and let me know if you wrote an I Like post too
craftscaviescontrasrosie and the boys nature pics
love the guy with the flowers who popped up LOL and I love the eggs... they are a little like sunny things...

ReplyDeleteCinnamon coffee cake... I feel like I can smell it now just reading that name. mmmm
ReplyDeleteLOL@ Milo's treat dispenser! The coffee cakes looks awesome! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThe recipe looks good. Is that 1 cup of buttermilk? Otherwise, I can read it.
ReplyDeleteLove me some John Prine….so sad that he died. He was a master songwriter and wonderful person.
Simple cinnamon coffee cake! I’m adding buttermilk to my shopping list!
ReplyDeleteYour coffee cake recipe sounds so yummy! And your egg/sausage dish is pretty much what I was planning to have for lunch today. It's been awhile since we've chatted via Zoom - maybe next week sometime.
ReplyDeleteYour cinnamon coffee cake sounds yummy! We have a family recipe like that - I haven't made it in a long time, but now I want to. Hooked on a Feeling is a favorite song here, too - a sing-along every time we hear it!
ReplyDeleteYour glamingo sure is pretty! WOW, the food looks great and now I'm hungry. Milo, that is some fun treat dispenser!!! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteThe cards are so cute!
ReplyDeleteHi LeeAnna! Ooga Chaka!!! OMG. That takes me back to middle school. I can sing along with every word of that song. Big Brother is cracking me up, too. Life and death and yet Chris K got ZERO answers correct when looking for the Marry Me sign! And I thought Lamar wouldn't last a minute - I didn't think he cared at all. Goes to show! {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteThe cinnamon coffee cake looks good and so does the breakfast wrap. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteHi LeeAnna. Another wonderful post but now my mouth is watering and I NED some of your cinnamon coffee cake. Sweet Milo. So hard to believe he was that small ever! Now I’m listening to the ear worm you shared…..Hooked on A Feeling”. Thank you for all the memories your post has inspired. I needed the smiles and good thoughts today.
ReplyDeleteI am always in awe of your fabric stash. Oh well loved recipes. I had to start a new recipe book, mine that I have had since I was a teenager is in deplorable condition. Your eggs look yummy though. I love that song! Hooked on a Feeling. I was thinking about you while I listened to Billy Vera and the Beaters What Would You Think. Great likes as usual.
ReplyDeleteThat coffee cake recipe is wonderful! Love the video of Milo misbehaving...Percy did that the other night when a tissue box fell on the floor - what is it with tissues ?! Happy Thursday.
ReplyDeleteThat is an old recipe! (Loved a lot, too!) That breakfast looks good (although someone else posted having ice cream for breakfast... which might even be better. lol). Milo - I remember that shoulder brace. Tough to deal with when you're a puppy!
ReplyDeleteMilo's Treat Dispenser... ROFL!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful post as always. I have both Allison and Josh Turner (guitarist) in my subscriptions...just love her voice and his playing. She has a rendition of Buddy's Everyday that I particularly like. Isn't it great to have a tried and true recipe that is so delicious. I sometimes worry about Ned getting banged up when Petey and he play...Petey being taller and heavier. Sweet Milo...baby pictures so cute.
ReplyDeleteLove the sound of all your baking/cooking. I chuckled at the thought of Milo not wanting you to show his baby photos.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Annie x
Hi LeeAnna, I've just had a lovely trawl through your earlier posts, catching up with all your choices in music - good choices too. I was so pleased to see you've included many of my favourites. I'm a great fan of Van Morrison in particular. The cake sounds and looks delicious but it's bread pudding I'm planning to make tomorrow. What is it about animals and toilet tissue! Silver the kitten can't be left alone in the bathroom! Have a fabulous weekend. Elizabeth x
ReplyDeletePoor Milo he really made me smile in the hotel, how cute he is. I love the fabric collection, very nice. Have a lovely weekend, Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteDon’t you just love a good coffee cake recipe! Your breakfast looks delicious! How I remember the songHooked on a Feeling! Wasn’t there another one that had a line that said something like, “Yummy yummy yummy I got love in my tummy?” LOL! I’m certainly dating myself now :-)
