Nothing is sewn to the center, the rows are sewn together however, so I share lots of choices... and the block is an autograph block this time... I wanted to bring in tropical flowers...
I cut 5" squares with motif centered, and sewed triangles of palm trees on each corner
with all the autograph blocks sewn in a row, and a scrap with similar colors on one side, this is as it stands at the moment...
I sewed a lot with turquoise for the RSC color of the month scraps... I have to share those all later with you, one of them being a Valentine for this year. This was just a warm up to sew scraps....
and the lovely Nora Jones... ahhhhhhhhh "come away with me and I'll never stop loving you..."
have
you also loved from a distance, either unrequited or circumstantial.
Did it work out? Did you ever move for someone? Would you? I have...
as a young woman I thought this song was so romantic... longing to spend your life with someone and asking them to go through life with you....
"please come to denver with the snowfall..."

Every step has something fun and whimsical added. I love it all.
ReplyDeleteSEW much AQUA/TEAL scrappy goodness going on in your studio, LeeAnna! You made good progress on your SAHRR. LOVE it!!!
ReplyDeleteLEEANNA. I just adore those hibiscus flowers you fussy cut. They are fab-u-lous. Beyond fabulous, actually, in my book. And that song - please come to Boston/Denver. Gosh, I haven't heard that song in decades. I forgot how much I like it. Happy Saturday to you and my buddy, Milo (DH, too). {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteYour glamingo will be so much joy to the room it sits in.
ReplyDeleteThose gorgeous tropical prints make me at least feel warm today.
ReplyDeleteGlamingo is amazing! I love what you have done with the autograph blocks! You have such a creative eye; it's really fun to see you play. Norah Jones is a favorite, and that song is one of my top favorites! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love where the glamingo is going! It makes my heart happy <3
ReplyDeleteGlamingo is really coming along and both those songs are among my favorites.

Always thought please come to Boston was so sad. Sometimes we run around chasing our dreams when the dream is right there waiting for us.
ReplyDeleteI love how you used the autograph blocks to feature those beautiful prints! You always have great ideas for this type of project!
