And I like that my wildflowers in patio pots are holding on. We just got some mums to plant too.
The tomato is the same size it was last week, but the pepper is a leeeetle bigger.
It's cooler today, more normal temps for Colorado the last day of September and I LOVE IT! Whew! (oh it will be warmer in another day, but for today...) The 4 months of heat and fires have exhausted me
My selfie of sorts... I'm wearing a tiny elbow length sweater, yea! Not shorts!
taken when I was shooting the newest runner on the entry post... I like tall thin quilts for right here!
the other little finished piece from last week |
It's been way too hot in the house to bake this week but hopefully I'll have something to share later
I've enjoyed painting again this week, that round up tomorrow and it's all about a leaf

and I got out a little kit on diamond dotz to try . I liked doing it and next is a pumpkin kit!
we happened upon this movie on netflix, on the night after it was released. The critics didn't like it but we did. (that happens often enough) I liked the slightly odd story, related to it strongly. It dealt with the themes of loss and perseverance with humor, intelligence and surprise.
I'm so loving Survivor but they shortened it this time... nooooo! I also love The Good Doctor, New Amsterdam and A million little things all finally back on air!
Reading this 10th book in the bake shop series on ebook... I so love this series
Tried to listen to Little Paris Bookshop but was annoyed so I returned it so now I'm listening to this one while in the studio
I loved seeing this huge fellow on our neighbor's roof at dusk this week. When he took off his wingspan was awesome! My little sparrow from last year is back sleeping on our front porch each night. I love him.
Milo's Moments
Hi Y'all... I am enjoying this cooler weather. When you wear a black fur coat it's good to be cool!

we love the wild flowers... they have something from little house on the prairie ;O) and we love the smells and the cooler weather too!"
ReplyDeleteSome great likes this week! It was cooler here too yesterday. Your entry post is a fabulous place for tall skinny quilts! Your tress is gorgeous! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteScout is loving the cooler weather too! More walkies! Love your likes this week and your flowers are amazing! Hope the cooler weather returns soon for you!
ReplyDeleteLove that long narrow quilt hanging there! It's so welcoming! I saw a trailer for that movie just a couple of days ago and thought it looked very interesting. We had a couple of hot days again this week but so far autumn has been pretty decent. But we need rain so badly.
ReplyDeleteHi LeeAnna,
ReplyDeleteAutumn is off to a colorful start there ! Beautiful colours on that tree !

I love seeing your narrow quilts hanging! I got out my fall quilts/wall hangings this week and accidentally hung one up crooked- every time I walk by it bugs me but I haven't yet got back out the hammer and step stool. And it's so wonderful to see the beautiful color in your trees. I love fall- when the temps break (even a little) my whole mood just unconsciously lifts a little.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving seeing the leaves change now, too. It's a lovely time of year! That's a great place for hanging tall, narrow quilts! You can make a different one for every month. We enjoyed The Starling, too. I wasn't sure, with it being Melissa McCarthy, but she was so good in it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fall photos. I enjoy doing diamond dot painting.
ReplyDeleteLove that skinny spot for your hangings and that sighting of the very large owl...awesome. I love how you keep busy with nurturing that all important creative side.
ReplyDeleteLove the entry post with the skinny quilts. A bright pop of color! Milo is looking handsome, as usual. We are getting some relief from the heat and I am so glad, but I cannot imagine having wildfires with it! I hope Milo is doing well with his new food. Thanks for linking up.
ReplyDeleteHi Lee Anna,
ReplyDeleteI noticed the other day, that some of the trees around here are starting to change colors. They are pretty, but it reminds me of what is coming....Winter...not one of my favorite seasons.
Really like both of your little quilts, pretty. Your Cat piece is cute. Your Kilt in Scotland is on my TBR list. It sounds like a great series to read. Have a great day!
Hi,
ReplyDeleteMe again...I forgot to mention my post for I Like
Thursdays if live.
Wonderful colorful creations this week that we love and great seeing you and your owl pal Milo
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful autumn beauties! Molly is loving the cooler temps too, Milo.
ReplyDeleteI love the runner on your entry post!
ReplyDeleteAlways glad to get suggestions for books and movies.
Hello to Milo!
Love that little runner! I think your leaves are just a bit ahead of ours. I noticed today that they are just beginning to turn now. It has been a busy week, and I haven't gotten any posts written - maybe tomorrow will have to be a combo to do Tuesday, I love Thursday, Friday Finish post; but first it needs to get written. LOL
ReplyDeleteYour leaves are already very pretty, ours are no where near changing yet. How cool to see that beautiful owl. Milo, keep making sure those squirrels get their exercise. Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous leaves. Glad it is a bit cooler. Fun diamond painting kit. Is that an owl?
ReplyDeleteHi LeeAnna! YES to cooler temperatures. Here, it includes lower humidity so even the 80s feel wonderful with 50s at night. Nice snuggling weather! ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteI am all about the cooler temps that have shown up!
ReplyDeletewe enjoyed the cooler temps here today as well. We actually got the weeding done in a corner raised flower bed. I got one bag of mixed daffodil bulbs planted the DAY I bought them too! I did not wait a couple years to finally throw out the poor neglected bulbs that never got into the ground. This is the way I work on quilts too. No hurry. It is good to see quilt bloggers make progress and that encourages me.
ReplyDeleteWhen I looked at the first photo, I thought it was one of your watercolors, lol. We've definitely moved into autumn. Nights in the mid to low 40's, 60's and low 70's by day. Not much color yet in the trees, but the light is different and many shrubs are turning to their fall colors. The deer are changing color as well.
ReplyDeletePat
I really love the Autumn colours and Milo always makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Annie x
I was confused because your Friday Smiles link brought me here, but I enjoyed reading all your likes and dislikes. Here in S.Spain we are also welcoming slightly cooler days, which makes any for of crafting a bit easier. The flowers are lovely. There's not too many left here now except for the hibiscus, but after last weeks's storms I expect all sorts of wild plants will pop up again.
ReplyDeleteYour description of the film interested me but we don't have a lot of success with Netflix.
Hope you have a good weekend. Kate
Again, the leaves, they are so beautiful. Thanks for sharing and brightening my day. Please give Milo an ear rub from me. I also watched that movie on the suggestion of my neighbor. I have mixed feelings about it. Personally, I feel it could have been much better done and the actors and story could not rise above the production faults. I tried to like it after the glowing recommendation and am wondering what to say to my friend on our next coffee klatch over the fence. Hmmm ... maybe I should watch it again ... :) Pat
ReplyDeleteSorry I'm late today been gardening, walking dogs and vet's but back now. Those leaves are beautiful but I just think this time of the year is one of my favourites, colour wise. Loving the selfie shot and Milo pics obviously. Hugs, Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have more leaf color than we have. LOVE that entryway quilt. It's perfect there.
ReplyDeletePretty fall colors! Yay for cooler weather. Impressive owl!
ReplyDeleteStunning fall colors - the same here! I love your narrow quilt on the wall, would love to see it in more detail... greetings to the cute Milo!
ReplyDeleteLOVE those fall leaves!! I'm glad you found spots for last week's quilt finishes. Thanks for sharing the bake shop series, as it sound like it would be a fun read!
