welcome to this week's list of likes...that's the view from our front top window... pretty!
this is the shadow of a big lighted star that lives in the dining/living room... I liked the way it looked when I opened blinds one morning. (note poodle foot in the corner)

Nothing new... finished the PBS series "The Trouble with Maggie Cole" with Dawn French
watching the Great British Baking show as they come out for this season, but we also went back and watched the holiday season (two shows) for 2019. VERY fun, and the second episode of Christmas baking with the Derry Girls (from a brit tv show) is so funny we both laughed out loud over and over! (netflix)
We still watch the Amazing Race, I watch Bachelorette, Housewives franchise, The Transplant, and the 90 day fiance group.
Watched a holiday movie last weekend... a "Bad Mom's Christmas" which was kind of poor til the middle when we decided to see it all, and it ended well... interview with the actors:

Christmas spirit. So many people say it doesn't "feel like" Christmas... what makes it feel like C. ? Going to special events? Parties where you dress up in sparkly red garments? Special foods? Shopping? Well that's all different this year, for safety sake. We may not have a lot of gifts under the tree, or be able to see friends, but I hope we'll make the season as happy as possible. Maybe we'll play cribbage again, or another board game. I'm thinking a zoom board game night sounds fun, want to come?
want to hear how to make it a good Christmas? Listen to these pets tell you...
Milo's moments
I have a new job... I'm in charge of prewashing
Hey... aren't there child poodle work laws??
Mama: nope! not these days. I thought you enjoyed prewashing dishes...
Milo: well... yes... I guess I do.
Mama: from what I can see, you don't do anything you don't like to do
Milo: well, if you like your work, you are invested in it, and do a better job, right? Like keeping tabs on the mama, barking announcements of delivery people, warning of the mail carrier, pulling on walks to make y'all walk faster, informing you of good smells, chasing off bunnies. Gosh! I'm tired just thinking of all I have to do around here to keep this place going.
Mama: good thing you like your work then.
Milo: haha BOL, Mama you're funny! Let's eat another cookie!
These people have great lists to share with you too! (sorry I didn't leave comments last week, back was acting up)
Going to these parties!!
your star is super great!!! we had one too... it was from my grand granny but sadly someone made a mistake and it is a duct tape star now and not longer the memory piece in our crib...
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your back acting up; that is no fun. Love the shadow photo and that cute little paw photo bomb. The baking show with the Derry Girls was hilarious - now we're back to watching re-runs of the show. Take care, LeeAnna (no post from me today, I was lazy)
ReplyDeleteDid you like Maggie Cole? I thought it was fun. I am having trouble finding something simple that I can watch while I sew.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful view out your window there! And I love your towel with the cookie saying - I'm all for a cookie in each hand! Milo looks like he takes all his jobs very seriously. :)
ReplyDeleteWOW, your view out of your window is fabulous. Milo, you are so lucky to have landed the prewashing job, if you can't lick them, join them! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Johanna Basford link for free drawing lessons! I'm going to give it a try. That Milo! So glad he's there to hold your world together!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! Milo, enjoy those cookies sweetie!
ReplyDeleteI keep meaning to watch the baking show. So many seem to enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteI don't actually enjoy baking but I love watching the baking shows - British or American. Must be just craving a taste of what they are making. LOL
ReplyDeleteThose flamingo lights must make you smile every time you walk by. So stinking cute!!!
Your view of the Rockies is wonderful! I love it when the sky is all pink and lavender!
ReplyDeleteThe earrings are so pretty! I always wear earrings and my watch but not much other jewelry these days. And I LOVE jewelry! Love your view and that reflection!
ReplyDeleteWe all really loved those shadows and the view
ReplyDeleteBeautiful view from your upper window. I loved the shadows and Milo’s new job. 😉. Hope your back is doing better this week.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. Your dog is adorable.
ReplyDeleteI'm one of the people saying Christmas doesn't feel like Christmas. But it's nothing tangible. I think it's knowing I can't see my loved ones, due to precautions over covid-19. There just seems to be a black cloud shrouding everything. Even my daily Church readings aren't touching me, the way they always have in the past. The only time I seem to find peace within myself is when I go walking in the woods, which I did today.
Of course you have flamingo Christmas lights. Doesn't everybody? And I'd follow that diet plan. I like your view out the window. No I've got to go back and catch up the earlier posts. Still no email notices. What's realhly funny is this week I got an email notification from a blog that had 17 links going back to November 2018! Arrgh!
ReplyDeletePat
lovely window view.. there is a peaceful landscape quilt or painting inspired there!
ReplyDeletewhat makes it Christmas to me is smelling the noble pine tree and receiving cards from long time friends from far away and near. (even the near are far this year!)
dancing about the house to the nutcracker and rembering the costumes on the variou dancer, taking the neice to that winter event when the were little,
And listening to the chipmunks singing on the radio
"and i still want a HULA HOOP!"
Hi LeeAnna! It looks like Milo is overworked with the pre-washing. But definitely not underpaid if he's getting cookies! {{Hugs}} I hope your back feels better. ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteThe star in your living/dining room looks like a Moravian star. I wonder if it is. There is a Moravian church in our town that sells them. they are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing your prewasher. I am missing my prewasher!
Wow, that's quite the view and I love your shadow shot star. I hate zoom though, reminds me of Brady Bunch on Hollywood Squares.
ReplyDeleteLove your view out the top window, and the star w/poodle foot. I usually have a Bobbin appendage in most of my photos. Great likes. I finally broke down and my day off decorated and I feel bit more Christmasy. Perhaps some Christmas movies, I made a ton of cookies and the kids take them as fast as I make them. Milo you are awesome doing your job!
ReplyDeleteCookies! I like those earrings!
ReplyDeleteOh Milo. I would never think a dog would complain about food. I am watching the Amazing Race too and wonder who'll take it this season. And I am saving the last holiday baking show for the weekend and my husband has become addicted too. That is a surprise for me. Sounds like a nice week.
ReplyDeleteLA - you have a terrific view, and how clever to capture that star shadow!!! Leave it to you to find flamingo lights!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are feeling better. I loved the shadow of the star.
ReplyDeleteYour view! That gorgeous view! Those are lovely earrings. I don't have pierced ears either, and earrings can be hard to find.
ReplyDeleteI saw a meme on Facebook: "The first Christmas was simple. It's ok if yours is." It touched my heart.
I've had back issues in the past and know how it can put a kink in life. I'm glad you're better :)
What a beautiful view, LeeAnna!!
ReplyDeletehi Sweetie Milo
ReplyDeleteI love that view out of your window. Quite spectacular! Thanks for linking up!
ReplyDeleteOh, the shadow of the star is precious!
