This week I sewed improv, irregular log cabins with all shades of pink, all shades of white
No measuring
just fun sewing
using up skinny strips and bits, I kind of want to sew just these blocks together now! I like the shape and setting! What do you think?
I finished the little pinwheel piece this week, all quilted and sequined! It is so pretty on our family room credenza
can you see the silver sequins? |

the quilting has begun! |
I just sewed til the book on disc ended, then sewed the little blocks together in two rows, trimmed them down to put on two sides of the flower.
before the bits were trimmed and sewn to the flower |
Aside from watching Laura Waisolowski on Bluprint this week, and a how to fix kitting holes video, I have been doing more posts,

Those pink string logs are very striking! Love them.
ReplyDeleteBefore I left sewing for painting, Log Cabin was my favorite block. I had never seen wonky ones, and I have lots of scraps. They are great, I may return to simple sewing! Yours are great!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your PINK Pinwheel finish and SEW much progress up on your design wall, LeeAnna!! Did you make more pink Wonky Log Cabins than any other color? Looking forward to seeing where you are going with that project!
ReplyDeleteI love all of your pinks and the little pinwheel piece is so cute and yes, we can see the sequins! Happy Saturday!
ReplyDeleteThe log cabins in pink with different whites and neutrals is so much fun! Are you wanting to keep them just in pink? I might want to also!
ReplyDeleteOh I love your wonky log cabin, so pretty!
ReplyDeleteOh, how I do love a wonky log cabin quilt. Your in pink just sings and I see some fabrics in there that I have in my sewing room. How fun!
ReplyDeleteOooo-love that first shade of pink- is it raspberry? Putting black polka dot with the pink is so smart . I just saw the sequins!!
ReplyDeleteI would never have thought to use the black with white polka dots for the background of the pinwheels, but it's terrific. Also like your wonky log cabins.

Hi LeeAnna!! :) That baby elephant video was so cute!! I love the pinks! Especially your pinwheel piece!
ReplyDeleteYes, sew the pink log cabins! What size will it be? It’s just cute as can be!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pinks! I love pink too which is funny because as a girl I did not. Have a great week!
ReplyDeletePink and Playful - totally you!!! Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteI've not done any log cabin blocks since I went overboard after taking a class a few years back. If only there was time to do everything I want to do.
ReplyDeleteSo colorful! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat pinks!! BUT that improv log cabin is awesome!!
ReplyDeleteWow, you really do have a color theme going! That improv log cabin is really fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving all this pink! Such happy, happy little projects. Thanks for sharing on Wednesday Wait Loss.
