I was distracted by several snow storms this week, but managed to paint a couple of things.
Fall in CO means 5 snows in October |
I was inspired by our 10" of snow and 0 degree weather to sketch, then paint the snow on pumpkins in the bottom left. Went over that with a bit of pale paint as it's just sketch paper.
and Milo's love of his ring toy, inspired the top right work
I'm not good at perspective yet, but I like the feel of the piece. Milo weighs in at 60 lbs so he is larger in real life! It's just pencil with a bit of ink in places.
this was just to see color on paper one day before the snow took over. KOI paints, pigma ink, white gel pen. The word was sketched in with pen... be brave!
the big thing this week is I discovered the secret to clean paint water... Turkey frozen dinner from lean cuisine.
two sides of water, one to clean the brush, one to keep clean for new colors
what fun it is to use this, although it must have retained a scent of turkey as Milo is very interested in it!

I love your pumpkin...but I wish the snow wouldn't be there so early...
ReplyDeleteAnd you're keeping plastic out of the landfill! Love seeing your sketching progress.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea on the water container. Pretty Fall painting.
ReplyDeleteLoved your I like List LeeAnna. It is better to be sure than sorry, as my dad always said...that is about staying put during bad weather. There is something so cosy about being home together while the elements whirl outside. We have had no snow or even a flurry yet so it is unique for me to see your snow photos just now. Your pumpkin painting is lovely!
ReplyDeleteLove your colourful art, especially the wonderful pumpkins. That water bowl is a great idea. Happy PPF and congrats on being featured today! Hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteHow clever your paint/water dish is! Bravo for your creativity.
ReplyDeleteLovely pumpkin.
ReplyDeletepumpkins among the snow, why not!
ReplyDeleteMaybe that is all the snow there is and we won't get any more.
ReplyDeleteWonderful art. Not so wonderful snow LOL.
ReplyDeletePumpkins and mountains an interesting scene

Another beautiful fall piece. It really makes a difference to our colours when we keep our brushes clean during play time.
ReplyDeleteHappy PPF Tracey
I love this creative artwork, wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy PPF Elke
Your "Fall" painting is beautiful! I used to think snow on pumpkins was such a wonderful sight, but not if I'm actually living it lol! ;)
ReplyDeleteI am envious of your snow, my Friend. Here in the mid-Willamette Valley in Oregon, we haven't seen a good snow in about six years. I keep hoping we'll have one this winter. Your artwork, by the way is totally charming. :D
ReplyDeleteInteresting artwork!
