Mellow Yellow Cow

Oh little Buttercup....
Ain't she sweet??    Moo once for yes....
Here she is without the flower tiara and earrings
Seems kind of plain, so I went ahead and ironed them on! A decision!

It was another challenge.

It was hard to choose yellows so that they would contrast with the white background and still be fun prints. I love the daisy fabric, and had to actually cut into a half yard piece to get this instead of using scraps.
Here's a shot of the scrap bin, offering up many choices to me...
And a shot of the sewing table with the sections ready in order to be pieced.
I am sorry to report I had to re-sew about every stinkin' section at least once before it was done.

My husband heard the cursing, and asked, "haven't you made that cow before?"

er, Y  E  S
This pattern with it's angles, and color changes not marked is a challenge each. And. Every. Time.

Don't get me wrong... I LOVE the way it comes out.

I mean, just look at these three Amigos!

Moooove over!

  3. Delightful. I think that the animals keep moving around and that's why I'm always having to use a seam ripper.
