Look at this pretty window display! These three are the Annapolis pottery shop.
On Christmas night we drove to Annapolis to walk around and see what was shakin'. It was very active with a few open restaurants and many people walking around like us.
There's something special about looking in pretty storefronts at night. I am a visual person and respond to creative displays.
This is so happy, I want it, even though I don't burn scented oil.
Cole had to check out this cozy alley, with tons of snowflake lights.
I haven't seen this before, but, nothing is too small to decorate! Same with quilts, no quilt is so small that the details aren't worth dithering over.
Cole, who walks at a snails pace in our neighborhood, was all kinds of excited to walk downtown.
We walked past harbor market area...
to the actual harbor where the boats were dressed up for the holidays...
then there is the gourmet dog stuff store. What a fun window for pet owners at Paws Pet Boutique. If you want to get any of this stuff, I'm sure they'd mail it to you! They also had this sign....
Cole was pretty good on the outing except he came with his own agenda that included :
1.sniff every lamp post and pee on most
2.sniff every blade of grass and piece of trash
3. stare at every dog we passed
4. sniff every crotch of the people who bent down to pet him
5. pull us backwards to do the above
how about this sign..."leave me alone I'm only speaking to my dog today"
I showed you a boat decorated with lights, a boat in a yard decorated with lights (click here for that!), and now this Pig-in-a-boat. Followed by a yoda with light sabre, and a rooster.
Of course.
See?? Creativity comes in many forms
It's fun to see the Annapolis Christmas lights and decorations again, but now through your blog!
ReplyDeleteHi LeeAnna!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! Those snowmen to hold ornaments! I'll have to keep an eye out for that sort of thing! Thanks for sharing this on your great blog!
I enjoyed your tour of lights tonight!
Take care,
Joanne
Thank you for sharing all the fun holiday displays! I haven't been out and about much this season (was traveling) so it was fun to see it all - vicarious holiday wandering is better than none at all. :)

I have that little red wagon... I have a picture of Piglet as a puppy sitting in the little wagon... As little as the wagon is... It was bigger than her :-)
ReplyDeleteI loved Snowflake Alley just like Cole ...I had to walk down it too!
I just love christmas lights at night!
ReplyDeleteHa ha! Fun finds! The lawn display in the last photo is great! To answer your question on my blog on where I'm going to store my HR fabrics... I think I will need a special basket or bin that can be grabbed in an emergency because these fabrics are the types of things you grab after the children when there is a catastrophe. ;)
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Mom and Harley have been to Annapolis and loved it. Maybe they will take me soon!
ReplyDeleteMy husband had a radio flyer as a child. He talks of it often LOL I love that dog sign, it would be perfect for a wall in Doodleville. I've never thought to drive up to Annapolis during the holiday season to look at the lights - and we did have some gorgeous weather before all this rain . Dog-gone- it :(
