Isn't it funny how thread...Very pretty runner! Isn't it funny how thread can look so different stitched out on a project than it does on the spool? I was astonished to see the quilts from Judi Madsen's books on display at AQS Quilt Week in Paducah. She uses metallic silver and gold thread a LOT, but as a blender thread to cross over all of the bright colored fabrics in her quilts -- and then plain white thread in her white backgrounds. Looking at pictures of those same quilts in her books, I would never have guessed that there was metallic thread.
