I Like Thursday #62 New haircuts, old homes and shoes

Welcome to this week's list of likes!
I Like grand old homes!
This one in Whethersfield CT had a little fairy village in the side yard next to the old iron fence
Any of you have a fairy village in your yard? I heard it's all the rage.

I like odd architectural details on a house...
if you can, squidge this one bigger to see the odd bowing out peak at top. I also love a big porch!

I LOVE the tiara/Fascinator bought in Frederick last weekend.

Drew said I must have it, so he got it and I wore it around town.

So many people asked about it. I decided to wear it as often as I need to remind me I am the Queen of something...
cute enough to show three times! I love a tiara anyway, but this one would be perfect for New year's eve, or birthdays or to remind me to make life special.

I Like big fall leaves and I cannot lie!

I liked this video of new short haircuts for 2018, and watching the hairdresser cut long hair!

I did a LIKE post yesterday that has lots of my likes in pictures, check it out:
  A trip-through-time

I am struggling with life right now. This post  from the blog Peace With My Life made me feel I was sharing some of my burdens, and I hope it helps you too. At the very least it is thought provoking and should start dialogues through the world.

Milo's likes:
Milo is into shoes. He hands me my shoes when I point and ask "give" and now he brings shoes back to his bed. He doesn't chew on them, just likes to bring them back to the family room.
Milo: I love Mommy so when she seemed so happy I picked up her shoe for her, I thought I'd just keep bringing her shoes so she would clap her hands and say "good BOY!"
But
she doesn't seem so happy... I'm confused. Shoes by the door, "good boy!" shoes in the family room, "no no Milo, bad!"
 What's a poodle to do??
Join these people also keeping it positive today!
(as always, I encourage you to keep track of your joys each week and let me know if you do a post)

Great post. Love the homes, and every girl deserves a tiara some days just for getting out of bed. LOL We must have been friends in another life. I was taking picture of huge leaves the other day. Great article about Soul Listening.

Good Morning!
Oh my - I love, love LOVE tiaras. That is my favorite Big Bang episode, when Sheldon gives Amy a tiara. All women should be able to wear them if they want to - they are Queen of something! And the big leaves - so pretty this time of year. And BIG! Milos is such a good boy - helping you with shoes and just being adorbs. Thanks for all the positive reminders. ~smile~ Roseanne

I love your tiara headband! I love most things that sparkle and that's great! Milo is so fun with the shoes. Ours used to be really into shoes, both moving/carrying them around and chewing them up. My mom's puppy Jordy didn't chew them up much but he always took them outside where they routinely got rained or snowed on or frozen.

I clicked over and read the article. This topic interests me greatly-as you know I just came through a bout of feeling so blah with life and I am thankful I no longer feel like that. People suggested to me it is cyclic with women to go through these ebbs and flows. I hope there is comfort in knowing you are not alone. And that you can always keep things real on your blog.
Our girl Murphy went through a shoe phase...think I lost 3 or 4 pairs of shoes/slippers at that time. It coincided with her eating my library books!

I love the tiara - made me think of Amy in Big Bang Theory. LOL! Milo is a smart boy to realize show collection won't get him into as much trouble as shoe eating.

Grand old homes! I literally laughed out loud over your tiara. Love it. And, the fact that you where it. "peace with my life" was an interesting site. I too like the blue/white curved piecing quilt. I give away as many quilts as I can so I know where I sent them at least. I'm glad you teased about your Wednesday post- I enjoyed it too! Have a fun day. mary in Az

Funny and cute Milo with the shoes, so much learning going on with him! I love the interesting houses you find on your travels, and giant fall leaves, too. I went and read the Peace with my Life blog, too, and liked the thinking it made me do. Have a good week, LeeAnna!

We like so many of the same things! I especially liked your trip through time--on a weird note, I took a photo of a table with a yardstick in it like yours just last week at an antique store. I love you Milo! You crack me up! :)

Milo, I love your facination with shoes. Every poodle needs a job, I think he found one for himself!

I keep finding little tid bits about the property here to put in a fairy garden, but I have yet to do one. You could say I am one of the more experienced procrastinators!
We continue to move things around here in a big way. Sometime this month or next we have to moved a mobile home and make way for a brand new one...
My pup collects sticks and leaves and brings them to me!

You have a lot on your plate right now, but you still find "likes" to highlight. Wear your tiara proudly. Remember you've got a fan club here, ready to listen.
We're getting rain and wind and then snow and unseasonably cold temps. Just got back from Houston where it was in the mid and upper 80's, so the drastic change is disconcerting.
Remember to smile and breathe.
At least Milo only moves the shoes. It could be worse.

Your tiara is so lovely!!! I like the simple design in the brilliant.
The old home is so grand.
Happy day to you!

Love your tiara! What fun to wear it around town when you want extra attention. Looked at the haircuts, interesting but too radical for me, fun for attention seekers. Milo looks great, he is looking for a job. Hopefully he only collects shoes. Danny started to collect shoes, so I learned to put them away. Anything on the floor is fair game for poodles.

Funny about Milo and the shoes! Love those classic old homes and architectural details.

Great old homes, I like architecture like that too. - Can't say I like the short hair but the video was fun to watch. - Mile loves shoes is so cute, one of our cats will drag out shoes. He never takes them back though. - Hope you sort things out soon.

I'm fascinated by house styles in America. Ours are rather different (from what I've seen in photos, anyway) and the two you have shared are wonderful.

I hope things improve for you. Pets are great mood boosters, so give Milo a hug for me.

Thank you so much for sharing.

Best wishes,
Liz

Milo is so handsome. Every girl should have at least one tiara! I used to live on Galveston Island and really enjoyed the yearly tour of Victorian homes.

Milo is a cutie. Glad he doesn't chew. He probably likes your smell that's on the shoes.
