can you have too many Sewing machines??

I think there are just enough!
These are my Rainbow Scrap challenge blocks for this year. I still think I may quilt them individually and hang them in a banner style. This is the last one, a red one, maybe my favorite one.
close ups...
Mary Englebreit cherries, flowers, dogs, sewing notions

music, 20's flappers dancing to it, hearts and a leg lamp.
Words on the background fabric are sweet too

Enjoy some of my fave fabrics on past machines too

and not to overwhelm you with pictures, I like something on each one. This was fun to do, and on previous posts I described the technique. (you can click on pics for details)
I expect to finish them as blocks, with binding. Maybe a black and white binding for all. Then join them.

If I didn't know better, I'd swear you've been dipping into my scraps! I recognize quite a few of those fabrics. I like your idea of a banner.

LeeAnna, I've really enjoyed watching this project along the way and these lovelies will make a beautiful banner, any final project whichever way you choose to display them. The purple is my favorite!

Oh what a fun trip down memory lane seeing your “old” pieced machines! I adore these blocks and can’t wait to see them finished up. How big is each block?

Those are real cool and hip sewing machine. Mine looks so dull now, lol. Do you have the intention of adding needles and thread bobbins? Black and white binding would be awesome. Great job! ;^)

You have the most fun bits of fabric in those sewing machines! I love looking at them! Can't decide which is my favorite - maybe the green one?!

I think the white backgrounds are cut at 14" square
The final size may be smaller, what do you think?

So fun to see close-up pictures. I have several of those fabrics, too. That red with notes I adore. I've just a little bit left of it. I've had a busy autumn, and didn't sew much.

The red one reminds me of "Mama Mia" with all the gals dancing and singing. But each one of them has its own personality. Isn't it funny how they seem determined to end up a certain way?

Now I wish my real sewing machine looked like one of these! Though I'd never be able to decide which one...

I actually have 9 sewing machines right now, so that seems like a perfect number.

NO! You can never have too many sewing machines - especially ones as adorable as these! Love all the fussy cutting you did on them. They are fantastic! Thanks for sharing them on MCM. :)

There is no such thing as too many sewing machines. At least that's what I keep telling my husband.

These are wonderful, Lee Anna!

So pretty! They will look so pretty as a banner - and make quite a statement as well! Congratulations!

Wonderful whimsy of a collection!

Adorable. I see why you like the red machine best. Not only is it red (perfection itself) but it has dogs on it. Dalmatians (not poodles) but still a great remembrance. A banner announcing creative work going on!
Thanks for linking this with AHIQ.

Your machines are darling. Evidently we are channeling some of the same stash. I have at least one piece of fabric in each of your sewing machines. I love the surprises in each block. Alligators, cherries, little girls. Fun things to look at!
