Cole's Commandments "Never let them see you limp"

Me in Annapolis... Momma wasn't fast enough to get a picture of me showing off for Lola
Cole here to discuss.... showing off for love!
So I was feeling kinda old one day on my walk with Momma. Slow, careful steps til I saw her!
Lola! My current heart throb Lola. Tiny, black long hair, cute little nose, wicked sense of humor, always ready with a bon mot (bark).

This looks just like her, but she's too fast to photo!!
I quick picked up the pace, dove into a puppy bow, just to show her I was still hot! She danced her little chihuahua siren dance. I did it again, then pranced around her, grabbed a mouthful of grass (still got my teeth!) sniffed at her nose (I wanted to kiss her) and lept over to pet her Daddy. I capered under her leash, to tangle us up closer.   What fun!

When she had to go home, and I turned to go the other way, all of a sudden my shoulder hurt! Bad

I started to limp and am still limping. Thank DOG Lola wasn't there to see that.
Momma gave me a  butter treat (muscle relaxant) since I can't stomach pain pills.

I blame my Momma for this. I don't know how, but somehow she caused this! grrrr... I limped for days.

To add insult to injury, my peeps got take out on Friday. Eggplant Parmesan, my favorite.

an obvious reenactment since we ate ours too fast for a picture!
Guess what? Once again they forgot to buy my dinner too. I said I want nothing special, just whatever you're having. All I got was some stinkin' Parmesan cheese sprinkled on kibble. ACK!

LeeAnna here:
I don't know what to say. Cole never connects a puppy bow or running with shoulder pain. He gets hot ears when he has any wheat, or tomatoes. He loves it, but it makes his ears hot, then ear mud, then flapping all night despite antihistamines.

I fear he has begun to hate us.

Hot ears??? a sign of allergies? You are a font of doggie knowledge. I have wondered what that was about when Oscar's ears are hot.
He gets no people food at all lately. I will watch to see if he still gets hot ears. For a treat, I have a stash of kibble on the dinner table and toss him this as we eat. So spoiled is he... but clueless.
Cole is lucky to have you for a mommie - you listen.

Lola is super cute.. I would sing the song of the Kinks the whole day :o) I never heard about this kind of hot ears... but maybe that is the reason that my ears get hot sometimes too? That I ate something what was wrong (not that I ever would eat wrong sings ...uhm... cough...cough)We will watch this too and maybe it is the same and we can avoid this kind of food in the future... oh please cross your paws that I'm allergic for that evil die-t kibble...

Cole, is that some yoga you're doing in that last photo of you? Hope it helps with your muscle pain. It seems to help for me - and, like you, I'm ... advanced in years. :)

Your little girlfriend is a cutie! I bet it would be okay if you had to limp a bit in front of her. Might get you some sympathy kisses!

Humans are to blame for all canine problems. It just takes a smart dog like Cole to figure that out

Cole, McGee here. I just scored some(9 to be exact) chocolate zucchini muffins mom left on the counter. Well, I had to ask my bigger brother to help me. He is taller, way too tall for a basset hound if you ask me. But he can use the ledge of the cabinet door to hoist himself up to reach nearly all the way back.

Now my tummy hurts......they were whole wheat muffins. I have terrible gas now. Oh lordy, I have to leave the room ever few minutes.......

Hey Cole - parmesan cheese on kibble is a lot more than some dogs. You're living large my friend.

Cole,
Yo dude, I can see why you'd risk limping for a hottie like Lola. Hope you're back to feeling better and not limping. You just never know when hot pups show up and you need to be ready. There's no shame to being a mortal Standard, I'm sure (just like Bridget Jones) Lola will accept you...just the way you are.
Your fur-iend,
Sam

PepiSmartDog: sorry to read about your limp Cole. Maybe you overdid the disco moves for Lola? This week our BIG Apple at has been limping and now he's spending $1,000 on the plastic square! He thinks its fantastic cause he loves visiting the vet and meeting everyone. Hope your butter treat fixes your shoulder pal.
Thank you for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. We always love your posts.
Hope to see you again this week too. Have a great week! *waves paw* :=o)
